Arrival Story:
Our Brittany Rusty had died on superbowl Sunday in 1991. Mom had done research and wanted to get an English Springer Spaniel for our next dog...so we went to a breeder in CT. We were gonna get a male dog as that is all we had ever had but he died at birth and I really wanted a black and white dog...we decided to get a female...Dad was against it at first because it would ruin his lawn. Picking out the dog was the easiest part...finding a name took forever. Pepper was born 4 months after Rusty died and then it was another two months before she came home...it seemed like forever. Pepper was the first dog I got as a puppy so it was cool to watch her grow up. I got to take Pepper to dog training classes and train her myself. She was such a well behaved dog I don't think we could have gotten a better dog. Pepper never lived in Colorado...she was born and raised in MA as an fyi.

Pepper was born April 5, 1991. When Pepper was a puppy she loved to run through the garden...Mom got mad but I thought it was funny. She loved to play with the watering can and bark at it...hey maybe she wanted to water the garden. She also loved her blue ball. Pepper would roll that ball around the yard forever and bark at it nonstop. Now you think she would eventually get tired and wanna rest...nope a quick drink is all she needed before she was ready to play again. In the summer we would swim together in the pool and she would even jump off the deck with me. The last couple of years of her life Pepper went deaf and then lost her eyesight. Pepper got along well for being blind and deaf and her brother Brett helped her a lot. Pepper went to the Rainbow Bridge January 5, 2005 at the age of 13. Pepper was one of the best dogs and was truely my best friend. Pepper had a heart of gold and I could always count on her to be there for me. We miss Pepper so much but know she can see and hear again.
