Arrival Story:
Teak came to me after I lost my beloved Redwood. I wanted to believe that she was Redwood come back to me in a more compact body (Redwood was a black lab), but I think Teak is Redwood's joke on me!! Teak is 100 miles an hour, all the time. She retrieves like a fiend and never tires out, she loves agility and is super fast, loves flyball, and is an obedience master. Every single one of Teak's baby pictures has her lunging at the camera with her mouth open! Teak loves any training, especially if it means eating. She has been a demo dog for many obedience classes, and amazes mere mortals with her mad skillz. However, at home, she's manipulative and gets in lots of trouble. "You mean, you didn't put that cat food on the kitchen table so I could figure out how to get up there? Hmmm..." Teak is the life of every party, and will play ball long after the lab and border collie have been run into the ground. I adore her, and rotten as she is, she is my sparkle, my crazy, and so fun to be around. She reminds me that life is just ridiculous and you should laugh about it anyway.
