Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: February 2nd 2004
Likes: Chewing on the cats, playing chase, going outside and eating everything in sight, fetch, Bindi, squeaking squeak toys, playing "music," and chewing every piece of paper in the house.

Pet-Peeves: Being caught after playing 'chase me,' car rides, going potty in the rain, and being brushed.

Favorite Toy: A bone-shaped squeak toy that has a little squeaker on each end that he squeaks for hours on end. (Also called playing "music.")

Favorite Food: Whatever he catches off the floor when we make supper.

Favorite Walk: Everywhere we walk.

Best Tricks: Making "music" (Squeaking the squeak toy).

Arrival Story: We were interested in getting a papillon, but didn't know much about purchasing a dog from a reputable breeder. We fell for the ploy of "AKC Registered - Papers Come With," from a breeder we found in the back of Dog Fancy - we purchased a large sum for him, and he came home on a flight from TN at seven weeks old (far too young). Once he was here, we brought him to the vet and found out he has luxating patella. When we tried to get in touch with the breeder, she changed her phone number and all mail sent to her came back with a "Return to Sender" note written on it. We never got his papers, never got to know what was going on. Thus, we were unable to show him as we had wanted to - especially with the luxating patella. He is amazing as a therapy dog for the disabled member of the family, and alerts us to a seizure.

Bio: Boo Radley's breeder never got a hold of us. However, we found out on the web later that a puppy mill with his breeder's address had been shut down and all dogs and puppies confiscated from the property. The name of the breeder of the puppy mill and the name we had written the money order to were the same. Thus, Boo is the product of a puppy mill. This breeder worked with papillons, standard poodles, cocker spaniels, and daschunds. He is an amazing dog, but it's a firm reminder that you MUST DO RESEARCH about the breeder, the parents, etc. We paid a LOT for Boo, and would never, ever take it back. He is a prime example of the genetic problems reputable, quality breeders try to edge out of the breed.
