I played in the snow today!

Daddy took me out to walk and play in the snow today! It was fun. It was even better when the leash came off because I ran really far and fast! Dad kept calling me for some reason but it was just too fun to run back to him. I ran around for about 10 minutes before he caught up to me and made me put the leash back on. He walked me down the street and around the house before we went back in the house.

Nana came to visit and brought us treats and a new toy! It's weird but it's fun. Both Albert and I love it. It's a red ball that flashes and makes noise when you smack it around.I like to drop it off the bed and Albert likes to roll it around the floor.

New Year, New Me?

It's been a ruff couple of weeks. Dad says I've been REALLY bad. It all started when on December 8th. We went to dad's uncle's house. Everything was going great until dad went outside without us, so Albert and I pushed the door open before it had time to close all the way and we ran outside to play with dad at night. Dad got mad because we ran out into the dark, cold night. Thankfully, he wasn't too mad at us. We had fun playing with all the people. I didn't get to see my aunt Riley but I still had a ton of fun.

Then a couple of weeks later, we all went to dad's uncle's house. We weren't allowed on the furniture there. It wasn't all bad. Dad let me sneak onto the couch with him at night. Dad took us outside to play and we ran really far because the yard was really huge. It turns out that we had actually run into the neighbor's yard. We ran so far that I actually couldn't find dad for a while.

Albert got in more trouble that day than I did because he walked across a frozen pond to get back to dad. Big bro sure is brave. The ice didn't break but dad still got upset with him. He didn't get too mad at Al but we didn't get to go outside again.

I got to meet dad's sister, aunt Kelley. I like her. She's fun like dad. She keeps calling me crack head though. I'm not sure why. I also got to see Nana again. I like her too. Dad says she's coming to live with us. That'll be really cool because I'll get to play with her more.

I got into trouble after Dad, Aunt Kelley, Albert and I went home though.

I kept finding paper stuff in bags and in boxes. I took it under the bed and chewed on it. Did you know that if you pull on paper, it comes apart and you have more pieces to play with?

I got in trouble four or five times for that. After I did it a couple of times upstairs, I got banned from upstairs unless supervised. That was also before dad found that spot I pooped in.

I took a box out from under the tree dad put up in the living room. It smelled really pretty and I wanted to see what was inside so I took it under the bed and tried to open it. I only did that once.

I took chews and toys away from Albert. Why? Because I could. I also wrestled with him and chased him all over the house. I got spanked a few times for taking things from Albert.

I licked dad's dinner. It was called pizza. It was tasty.

I got something dad called a cassette adapter out of a box on the floor. It had a chewy string on it. Part of it came off and dad saw me with it. That's when he got mad. He told me I was lucky that he had another out in the car.

He wasn't quite as forgiving when I bit through the chewy string on the paper shredder. I got a big spanking for that one. I also got a lecture for chewing a dangly plastic thing off of a chewy string called an extension cord.

Dad says I need to make a New Year's resolution to behave better. He also says that he hopes I grow out of this phase soon and tells me stories about the things Albert did when he was my age. He did some doozies.

Dad Went Shopping

He got me and Albert some toys called Loofah Dogs but he says we can't have them until Christmas. I really need to get dad to explain what Christmas actually is. Dad also bought me a pink hoodie. He says I'll get too cold outside and so he bought it so that I can be warmer outside when I play. It helps keep the snow off of me but I dig myself so far into the snow that I end up getting cold anyways.

Dad made me go in the house when he noticed that I was shivering. He picked me up and held me close so I'd get warm and he carried me into the house. He took my hoodie off and hung it up to dry. I played in the house with Albert for the rest of the night.

A license for Christmas

Dad brought something home for me and my brother. He put a shiny thing called a license on my collar. It doesn't seem to do anything except change the sound my collar makes when it jingles. It looks pretty though so I guess it isn't all bad!

The most wonderful time of the year!

That's what they call this Christmas thing. It is pretty wonderful. I went back to the doctor who said my belly looked good and that it was healing well. Then dad said something to them about how my butt was stinky and they took me in the other room and did something to my rear. It felt funny but they said that I wouldn't stink anymore. They sprayed me with some perfume so I'd smell even better and took me back to dad.

We went to Uncle Scott's house that day too. Oliver was there! I missed him soooo much and I was sooooo glad to see him. He's really handsome! We stayed there for several days so I got to play with him a bunch. We also played outside in something called snow. It's cold but it's pawesome!

We also went somewhere else and Albert and I got to play with some kids. They played so much that I was too tired to stay awake.

The next day we went home, but not before we stopped and got some chicken nuggets. Chicken nuggets are yummy!

Dad took me to the vet on Tuesday. I wasn't sure why he took me but they wouldn't let me go back to him. I got to see him again long enough to hear them say that I was 10.3 pounds then they took me away from him again. They put me in a cage. I tried to tell them no. I tried to tell them that I needed to go home with dad but they wouldn't let me.

The next time they let me out of the cage, they gave me something that made me sleepy. When I woke up, my tummy hurt. I laid down night-night and when I woke up again they put me in another cage. This cage was different... it smelled familiar. I figured out that it was Albert's Kennel Cab. they carried me away and as they did, I recognized the smell of dad! I was so happy to see him! He talked to the people there for a while and then we went out to the car. He put me in the back seat and I saw my brother Albert! After a little while, we went home.

They told dad I was supposed to take it easy for at least 10 days. I haven't. I've been playing as rough with Albert and running as fast around the house as ever. Dad pesters me to take it easy but it's so hard to lay around when there is so much playing to do!

My teeth are falling out!!!

Dad assures me that it's completely normal but it freaks me out. Are teeth really supposed to fall out? One came loose last night and fell out and I was chewing on it when dad asked me what I had. I dropped it and dad picked it up before I could grab it again. He acted really excited and said something about me being a big girl soon but I didn't really get it. Is being a big girl all that different from being the girl I am now? How big am I going to get? I'd love to be bigger than Albert so I can get the upper paw when we wrestle. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I've got it!

I figured it out! I remember not to poop in places other than the bathroom! I'll admit that I have had a couple of accidents, but only two accidents in a week! Another cool thing is that I can lay down whenever dad asks me to. I actually understand what he says when he says lay down. Now he says something about rolling over and speaking. I don't understand those but I'll figure it out.

A Potty Epiphany

Dad went away the other night and I was stuck in the playpen again. I hate being in there. I know it's not punishment, but I don't like being locked up when everyone else isn't. Dad says not to worry about it because Albert was the same at my age.

He went away today again. He didn't come home until after dark. Sitting there in the dark gave me some time to think about things. I think I'm finally understanding how the floor pads work. The foor pads are for pottying on. I've understood that for a couple of weeks now. What I didn't realize was that I'm not restricted to using just one pad.

You see, there are four pads around the house. There are two in the bathroom downstairs, one in the middle of the kitchen and one in the bathroom upstairs. I finally figured out that I can use any pad that I want. I can go visit dad when he goes to his potty and if I go while I'm visiting, dad will tell me I did a good job and give me a treat. Tonight though, I peed on the pad in the kitchen and I got the same reaction. I knew it! My theory IS correct!

My next theory has to do with pooping. I'll have to spend some more time pondering it but I noticed that Albert pooped on the pad in the bathroom and got petted and a treat. I pooped on the pad in the bathroom tonight and dad told me I did a good job. I did accidentally get some on the kitchen floor because it was stuck to my rear end. I hate when that happens. I get a spank or a stern talking to when I poop behind the couch or when I poop next to the front door. I'll have to try pooping on the other pads to see if I get petted and treats and for the love of treats, I'll have to try to remember not to poop anywhere but on the pads.

On a side note, I baffled dad again tonight. He knows I can jump the two foot tall playpen like it's nothing. He thought he'd be smart and stack the two on top of each other. The two playpens stacked are three and a half feet tall. I climbed over it tonight. I climbed over the playpen and jumped onto something called an ironing board. It was tough getting down off the ironing board but I managed it. I took the socks that dad had sitting on the ironing board and dragged one into the living room. You should have seen the look on his face when he hopped off the bed to greet him at the door when he got home!
