My 1st Snow!

Oh my pom-iness, when I woke up this morning & mommy opened the door to let me & my sisters out, I saw this strange white stuff on the deck. Me not being sure what it was, gladly let Chewee & Chadee go 1st while I sniffed this white stuff out. Mommy gave me a little nudge & out I was in this now cold white stuff. Hey you know what, this stuff is soooo much fun!! When you get thirsty, you can eat it. You can roll in it, slide on it & play a lot longer in it. How cool is snow!!! Where has this been my whole life & why doesn't it snow more often? Mommy kepts telling me that there's more snow to come. Oh boy, oh boy!!! I can't wait!! Ok, gotta go...Chadee & I need to go play outside in the snow again. This is GREAT!!!!

Update on my new home!

Oh boy, my new home is just the greatest! I went from having no one to play with to having all kinds of critters to play with. I just love playing with my 2 older sisters, Chewee & Chadee, especially Chadee. Boy that girl can play & fetch! She's teaching me all the tricks of the trade too! Then there are my kitty sisters. They are so much fun to chase! They like to swat me but that's ok, I love it! And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I get to play with my human brother & twin sisters!! I just love jumping up on them & snatching their toys away! I love my new backyard too. I even managed to escape. Gave my new mommy & daddy a scare but daddy secured the perimeters now. Humm, I might have to work on finding a new way out. There are some many cool toys for me to play with. And the doggie treats!! Where do I begin with that! I am definitely in doggie heaven here. Life is just great for me now!! I'm so glad I'm with my new family!! Pom kisses to you. Thanks for reading!!

In Memory of Steve Irwin

September 4, 2007 ~ One Year Anniversary of his
Passing....

"Crikeys mate!" Steve would say,
Making people smile, everyday.
Wrestlin' crocs, wranglin' snakes,
Swimming with gators, in the lakes.

He feared nothing, not even death,
Right up till his very last breath.
What must have been his final thought?
Was it agony? Did he feel distraught?

I can't even image the pain in his face,
Leaving his family without a final embrace.
My heart goes out to each and every one,
For what they'll surely miss most was the fun.

I hardly ever missed one of his shows,
Always wearing his cool khaki clothes.
Rescuing kangaroos or grumpy crocs,
Or finding those lizards under big rocks.

Always in Australia will you lie in wait,
For Terri, Robert and Bindy at Heaven's gate.
Surely God's blessed you with angel's wings,
And made you keeper of all living things.

For all crocs go to Heaven, it's got to be true!
For why did he take you, if he didn't need you?
The world lost a hero, a very dear friend,
Your death I will never fully comprehend.
