Birthday: January 11th 2006 Arrival Story: Lilly was brought in to be euthanized at 10 days old. As a Vet Tech I knew I could take care of her. I also knew she may be deaf. We bottle fed her, took care of her and realized at 25 days old she was blind. We sought lots of help, and before we knew it, she was grown! We do not treat her any differently than our other dogs, and she runs and plays with the best of them. AussieLads was so incredibly helpful in the education of Lethal Whites and helping us to help Lilly Belle! Bio: Lilly Belle has left this earth, but never our hearts. ALL dogs deserve a loving home, but especially Special Needs Dogs. They may not be with us as long, but the love and kindness they show is incredible. Forums Motto: Rest Easy My Angel. I LOVE YOU! The Groups I'm In: **~Awesome Australian Shepherds~**, Australian Shepherd's that are deaf and blind., The Dog Park ;)
Lilly Belle is a constant source of amazement to all she meets. Yes, she is very beautiful but the price she and many, many other Aussies born like her is a price too high to pay. Irresponsible breeding and greed often lead to Merle to Merle breeding resulting in these dogs being born with varying degrees of defects. It takes a LOT of time, effort and energy to accomodate a blind/deaf dog. If you have that determination, the love returned is incredible.
