FurAngelDaniel, Royal Angel of the Month, May 2013

Oh, when we get to Heaven
We hope that we will find
The souls that once we loved
Who left us all behind.

Some left us at the right time
They left this world in peace
Others left too sudden
Without the chance to say Goodbye,
They were gone before we had
The chance to even cry.

There's a special place for grownups
A special place for kids
Me? I'll be on the other side
The side called Rainbow Bridge.

Across the dark green meadow
A'top the hills I'll run
Where the colors from the rainbow
Glitter from the sun.

And there I'll find my sweetheart
Running fast toward me
In my arms where he belongs
for all eternity.

SLEEP TIGHT AND DON'T LET THE COOKIE MONSTER BITE!!!!

I really was afraid of the Cookie Monster....CHAIR THAT IS!
My skin nephews were toddlers and had a Cookie Monster chair with BIG WHITE EYES!!!!

Well Mom was letting me into the front yard and I kept STOPPING at the doorway and barkity barking and she went out to look..nothing she saw. So she kept trying to encourage me to go out to do my last run for the night! NO WAY!

I kept looking out by the fence barking like crazy which spooked Mom to no end til she noticed what I was barking at....a TODDLERS COOKIE MONSTER CHAIR WITH BIG WHITE EYES!! She went out turning it over where I could not see the eyes and I was fine and went out like normal. Those eyes could not see me then OMD!!!!

I have been tagged by Bailey One We Miss You!!!

Here are the rules of the game:

I'm supposed to think of 7 things about myself, and then I am to write them down in a list.

Next I'm supposed to Tag 7 of my furiends, letting them know, either by pawmail or rosette, that they have been Tagged and to read the rules in my Diary if they choose to play.

Sounds like fun to me! I'm honored to be included in a game of Tag!Here are seven things about me.....

1. I was way MORE spoiled than Georgie is!

2. I loved to run and could play soccer for hours!

3. I knew many tricks also. I could roll over on command, lay, sit, sit pretty (flat on my rump back straight as arrow), I could leap thru hoops or over sticks, I shook hands and "played patty cake".

4. I OWNED THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

5. I loved to go for LONG bye bye rides and loved McDonalds!!

6. We also had two cats when I was brought home and they were like parents to me. I learned to perch in hedges from them. I would crawl up in them and all you could see were my eyes sticking out watching the yard. The kitties were the reason for my name. I was named after Daniel in the LION'S DEN!! :D:D

7. I was an ESCAPE ARTIST!!! No prison or jail could have secured me!

Hmmm... okay! Now the hard pawt! Choosing just 7 furiends to join me in this game of Tag!

Here is the list of the 7 furiends I am choosing. There is no pawticular reason I have chosen these furs and they are listed in no pawticular order...

1. Piper ILM
2.Jake
3. Bonzer
4. Lady Chewee
5. Holly
6. Haley Belle
7. Cosmo 2

Okay, everypup! Start running (or in the case of us angels, flying) and HAVE FUN!!!

Dog Quotes..

"He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He is the part of me that can reach out into the sea. He has told me a thousand times over that I am his reason for being; by the way he rests against my leg; by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. (I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me.) When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another man. With him, I am all-powerful. He is loyalty itself. He has taught me the meaning of devotion. With him, I know a secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me... whenever... wherever - in case I need him. And I expect I will - as I always have. He is just my dog."

Hi all! My brofur George and I have been tagged by our friend
Timmy
!
This is a fun game to get better acquainted with your Dogster friends. Here’s how we play: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are Tagged need to post in their Diary the rules and their 7 random facts. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Then let them know by pmail or a rosette that they have been Tagged and to read your Diary for instructions on how to play.

Here are my 7 random facts:
1. I was the "chosen one". Mom got the pick of the litter with me!!!
2. I loved my Mommie and Daddy furry much!
3. I was a "run away", effurry chance I got I ran. Read my bio! BOL!
4. I HATED to be groomed. In fact if Mommie even got the brush I got "on guard"!
5. I loved COOKIES! COOKIES! COOKIES!! I would do any trick Mommie asked when she bribed me. I could sit pretty, roll over, jump a stick, shake hands, and lay down.
6. I absolutely loved my squeaky hedgehog, and loved when Daddy would play soccer with me!
7. I was raised on Mighty Dog and Pedigree dry!!

Here are my furry friends that I'm tagging:
1. My fellow stuffie destroyer Izzy.

2.A sweet girl who gives love to all she meets, Dayzee.

3.A cutie who is a good friend of my sisfur Sweet Caroline,

The Day After.

Woofed to me by my brofur Georgie.

Tis the day after Thanksgiving and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The puppies were snuggled all tired in their bed.
With visions of turkey still dancing in their head.

And Mom with her Rolaids and Dad with a pain,
Had just settled their tummies, no TURKEY AGAIN!
When out in the kitchen there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter!

Away to the fridge I flew like a flash,
There Caroline was eating Turkey, then I heard a big CRASH!
She had pulled the shelf down, to the floor below,
The glass was all broken, it looked like it snowed.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear?
Mom in her nightgown, all covered in tears.
Dad was right behind her, so fast and so quick,
I knew in a moment, Sweet Caroline was sick!

She ate all the turkey, she ate all the pies.
She ate and she ate, til the food filled her eyes.

Go Caroline, Go Georgie, go fast to your bed,
I must clean this up now, run fast, FAST I said!
To the top of the bed, to the bed by the door,
Now dash away, dash away, I must clean the floor!

She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,
And cleaning the floor, she turned with a jerk!
She filled up the dustpan, and garbage can too,
She swept, and she mopped, til the mess was all through!

Then she sprang back to bed, with her mind in a fog,
Restraining the urge to spank such a dog.
And I heard her soft whisper as she fell back in bed.
No Turkey next year!
We will just eat the BREAD!

Cookie Monster

I remember when Bobie was a baby, maybe 8 months old or so. I would let him go out into the front yard which was fenced and quite large. Well, one night I had the front door open with the screen shut. Daniel started barking and barking like crazy, scared to death. I looked outside and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, so I tried to encourage him to go outside to go to the bathroom. Well, NO WAY! He just stood there shaking a little and barking like something was out there. I ended up going out to look around, with him barking at my side. He was looking toward the street. That is when I noticed what he saw. It was a little blue child's Cookie Monster chair that had very large white eyes. The eyes were shining in the porch light. THAT is what was scaring Bo to death. My daughter and I laughed so hard and still talk about Bobie and the Cookie Monster chair to this day.

A Dog for Jesus

A Dog for Jesus
(Where dogs go when they die)

I wish someone had given Jesus a dog.
As loyal and loving as mine.
To sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
And adore Him for being divine.

As our Lord grew to manhood His faithful dog,
Would have followed Him all through the day.
While He preached to the crowds and made the sick well
And knelt in the garden to pray.
It is sad to remember that Christ went away.
To face death alone and apart.
With no tender dog following close behind,
To comfort its Master's Heart.
And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn,
How happy He would have been,
As His dog kissed His hand and barked it's delight,
For The One who died for all men.

Well, the Lord has a dog now, I just sent Him mine,
The old pal so dear to me.
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone,
Knowing they're in eternity.
Day after day, the whole day through,
Wherever my road inclined,
Four feet said, "Wait, I'm coming with you!"
And trotted along behind.

I Took An Angel In My Paws Today

I took an angel in my paws today. She was not certain what to do now that she is here. I showed her all the lovely parks where we can roam free, and the pawsome fountains of milk and cream for the lovely kitties. I took her by her paw and led her to a lot of my furryfriends. They all hugged her and told her they were happy she was here with us, and in no more pain. We all told her of our journey and how it was not what we thought it would be. We all thought we would be sad, but we are not. Even though I know my Mommie misses me, I feel like a young pup again. This is what we told this new kitty angel. She is worried about her Mommie, but we told her that her Mom will be fine in a while. Time changes things.
We next took her to where the doggies and kitties sing all day with joy. She got tears in her eyes at the beauty of it all. They get to sing furrever to the Creator of all things living. Songs of love, and songs of joy. I like to come here a lot too and join in with the singing.
I was sent to this angel to welcome her because she is my cousin. The new angel is Sweet Anna. She looks so peaceful now, her eyes are bright and clear, her fur is once again full, and she is no longer without weight on her tiny body...ALL WHOLE AGAIN.
We look forward to the day we will get to see our earthly pawrents again. That will be simply pawsome.

Run Bobo Run, See Bobo Run

My name is Daniel, but Mommie calls me Bobo. I loved to run, and especially loved it when my Mommie or her human children had to chase me. I don't know exactly what happened, but everytime I heard someone running behind me and saying STOP BOBO, STAY! it would make my heart pound really hard and I would get so excited, and run even faster.
It didn't matter how much time my Mommie spent "training me" to do better. My mind just did what it wanted to when my feet touched freedom. They say my doggie mother was the same way.....heehee. So it is in the genes!
I love it here at Rainbow Bridge. I get to run free all the time. I run with a pack of tough dogs and not so tough ones all the time that I want to. Mommie even saw me in a dream running with a pack of my furriends. I warned her, with a look, to not try to get me because I was having a good time, and I didn't hurt anymore.
I think the only thing I really miss right now is my Mommie looking at me. I always knew that she would be checking on me out the window. I looked to see all the time, and sure enough, there she was looking at me. That always made me feel so safe. Not that I don't feel safe here, I just miss that. I know she misses me a whole lot. I hear I have a new brother George that is almost like me. No way could any dog be exactly like me....heehee. I am glad though. I hope he helps fill the emptiness she felt when I had to leave. Wooffs and Howls. I am having such a fun time.
