Update on ME!

Hello to all my good friends. I am home and all tests came back perfect. Bloodwork is perfect etc. So what that means is the vet believes it is the beginning of epilepsy. He said he will not begin me on meds until it is totally necessary meaning if I have 4 or more a year he will then begin thinking meds.

He also said there is a possibility I will never have one again. So only time will tell. Mom trusts him a lot and he's not a "quick fix" type doctor.. he is more a "let's wait and see" kind. That gives Mom peace that he isn't fast to put me on addictive medication.

He also cut my toenails again.. :O:O and gave me an allergy shot for that itching I told you about. I apparently have contact dermititis meaning the grass is too high and my belly is brushing over it. So Frank (my skin brother) needs to get to work. :D

I want to thank everyone for your words comforting my Mom and for the POTP that I know is truly powerful because of the love we have for each other here on Dogster. All I know is you are loved..

It was not a good night last night....

I'm at the vet right now. It seems I had what appears to be a seizure last night. I am okay now as far as how I am acting and looking. Mom rushed me to the emergency clinic at 3 in the morning but by time I got there it was all over and I was up perky and all. They wanted to keep me for blood tests and observation but Mom didn't have the $1,000.00 they wanted. (Mom nearly cried on the way out afraid and also thinking how many mom's had to walk out with their dying baby because of no mercy there.) They said that truthfully she could bring me home and watch me herself and then take me to my regular vet this morning. That's where I am now.

Dr. Vicuna thinks it was probably a seizure and he began explaining it to Mom. He said that he's never seen a dog or heard of a human dying from a seizure. That they come then go. IF I have them often then he would put me on medication/phenobarbital but only if they came frequently. He said IF I have to go on that med it will be for lifetime. Impossible to take me off so he wants Mom to log any episodes from last night on with time and date.

He is checking for blood sugar and whatever else may be going on. I come home around 3 o'clock this afternoon. I don't have to stay. I am overweight again.. Mom really has to get on to everyone for feeding me. If I have probs with blood sugar my weight will trigger it bad.

I don't want anyone to worry too much. Mom already did enough hysteria to cover all Dogster. So far all is well and I am up and bright eyed and mad at Mom for leaving me at the vet..and not giving me my breakfast.

Winter storm warning in effect from 4 am to noon pst Monday for snow, Winter storm watch no longer in effect.
The NWS in sacramento has issued a winter storm warning for for snow, which is in effect from 4 am to noon pst Monday. The winter storm watch is no longer in effect.
Timing: Snow is expected to possibly begin early Monday morning and continue through around noon before tapering off.
Snow level: Lowering to near sea level early Monday.
Main impact: Periods of light to occasionally heavy snow will be possible during the morning hours on Monday. Snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches may occur. Significant disruptions to the local transportation network may occur.
While there is still some uncertainty regarding this developing weather situation, it does appear that there is a strong potential for a band of accumulating snow to occur in the central valley Monday morning from around marysville southward through stockton.
A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency.

Love Under The Texas Sky

Last night was such a romantic night for Merry and me. She has been planning to take me out on our property for a moonlight dinner for some time and last night was finally the time we could go..

Merry is funny when she is planning something like this because of how she loves secrets and surprises. She scurries around whispering to those helping her getting it all together then will come get me when it's all ready. Half the fun is watching her put it together..

So Merry gets all the preparations done and then comes to me holding her cute little paw out to me. I look at her standing so sweet in front of me knowing I will not be able to resist anything she wants, which can be DANGEROUS I know!!!

So asking Merry what it is she is needing I find out she wants the KEYS to my new Dodge Ram! ::o I remind her she does not know how to drive a standard ....so she dimples at me telling me she will LEARN! Finally after a bit of coaxing from her I let Merry have the keys to the truck resolving in my mind that I love her more than my truck.

Loving her more did not stop me from nearly fainting when I heard the gears grinding when Merry slammed the truck into reverse tires spinning... Running to the window I see her come to a fast squealing stop then stopping and going begin to drive slowly forward attempting to get to the barn.

Running downstairs to see if she needed my help Merry smiled so sweet and innocent at me I forgot about the truck immediately and just offered to help get things ready. So I helped load the mysterious items into the back of the truck for our day.

On our way Merry directing me we finally get to our destination, the sun going down. It was so beautiful and to see it with my wife made it even more so. Having set things in order Merry tells me to wander around while she puts the finishing touches out. Calling me back after a short while, I stop, totally enamored with what Merry has done whistling low.. Dog baby this is beautiful..

Smiling walking up to her I take my wife in my arms thanking her for all she has done kissing her softly.

Thank you Merry, it is so beautiful..the food looks delicious. ;)

Finishing our dinner to the music she brought, holding her close.. Merry sings to me before we fall asleep.. her voice like an angel. Every word of the song hitting a chord deep in my heart cuz I felt the same way.

Thank you Merry for a night I will never forget..I love you baby and are so proud to call you my wife. To have you by my side wherever we go, either privately or on Dogster makes me the proudest man/pup around. Thank you baby, thank you....
