Mimi La Rue will be missed

Tori Spelling's beloved dog Mimi LaRue died Tuesday of natural causes at the age of 11, the actress tells PEOPLE.

"She was a star and a true lady, and she will be missed greatly," says Spelling. "People everywhere knew her by name. I loved when fans wanted her over me. I felt proud!"

Mimi LaRue died at home surrounded by her family, including Spelling's husband Dean McDermott, 41, son Liam, 1, and newborn daughter Stella, 10 days old. "I'm devastated," said Spelling, who reveals her dog had suffered from medical problems relating to her hips and neck for years. "I'm convinced she waited around to make sure I had the daughter I always dreamt about before she left us."

Mimi LaRue was a frequent sight in her trademark pink dresses, both on the red carpet as well as on Spelling's reality shows, So noTORIous, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, and the new season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

"She was not just a dog but a fashion icon and legend amongst Hollywood dogs," Spelling says. "She received fan e-mail on a regular basis, and I often joked she got sent more designer clothes than me!"

Aside from being fashionably hip, Mimi LaRue was a true member of the family, rarely giving up a chance for a fine meal or simply relaxing in Spelling's lap. "She was a loving pet and a true diva to the end," says Spelling.

Well my Poochie Mammas this week was the season finale of Tori & Dean: Inn Love , *sniff*, *sniff* (that's meant to be a tear…not a greeting).

So, first things first, let's talk about Mommy's body! Could you bounce doggie treats off of those abs or what? She looks pretty fabulous. It's like she never gave birth to LiLi. (Never say that again!) Anyway, she really blew them away at the Vegas show. It must have been those seven- inch heels…keep the pups away from those suckers my furry friends.

So, I'm sure you heard that Mommy and Daddy are giving up the B&B and thinking of opening a new place in Hollywood. Good! It's about time Mimi La Rue headed back to Tinsel Town. My fans have been e-mailing and calling nonstop.

Ok, so for those of you who were in total support of Team Mimi I have three words for you—lighten up already. It's Team LiMi from now on so I better not hear any of you drooling, flea-bitten mutts saying stuff about him ever again. My legs are short but my teeth are sharp!

Anyway, it's been a fabulous few weeks and I'm sure you've all really enjoyed getting to know me. I'm really looking forward to next season but until then remember—only bite the hand that feeds you when there's no food in it, butt-sniffing is unbecoming and most importantly, real bitches have wrinkles and rolls!

Nobody Drools in LA

Well, at least this week on Tori & Dean: Inn Love , the guests were dressed! Granted, they were dressed like they just stepped out of a game of Clue, but I’ll take it! I know Mommy and Daddy are actors but I think they took it a bit too far with a murder mystery weekend. I spent two nights armed with a slingshot and a box of doggie treats ready to pounce on that mystery murderer lurking around the B&B! It’s going to take me weeks to get rid of these dark circles and bags under my eyes!

More importantly, Mommy’s #1 fan stayed at the B&B this weekend! This guy was serious…can you say, “Giant poster of Tori Spelling?” Wow! I just have one question: where was Mimi in that picture? I don’t feel bad at all about the present I left for him in his right shoe. He, he, he.

Mommy and Daddy mentioned we might be moving back to LA—the city of superficiality and where dogs are merely accessories for spoiled celebrities who want their picture on the cover of trashy tabloids! Mommy isn’t like that (but I have high hopes that she’ll come around!). I positively cannot wait to get back! This time Tinkerbell and that Hilton snob will not outshine us! Will they Mommy? Say it isn’t so! I look so much better in pink Chiffon.

Aw, Romantic Weekend... and Nudists?

Hola and smooches my fellow Dogster friends, just checking in to see if you watched Tori & Dean: Inn Love . If you thought the Furries were bad let’s talk about the weekend I spent with a house full of middle-aged nudists who like volleyball. Yikes! Mommy and Daddy certainly outdid themselves this time.

Anyway, while the naked people were bouncing that volleyball back and forth (which by the way, I will never “fetch” again) I spent the evening chomping on scraps from the absolutely delish dinner Mommy and Daddy prepared for LiLi’s Nanny, Patsy and her sweet-as-candy hubby. Apparently, it’s been quiet sometime since they saw each other. They’re soooo in love. Vomit! Really folks, there was nowhere for me to run this week.

However, speaking of love, Mommy and Daddy had their first fight! Well, it’s about time. Those two make more google-y eyes at each other than two pimply, hormonal teens that fell in love at the drive-in.

I hate to say it but the only one I could turn to was HIM. That’s right, LiLi. For someone who spends most of his time naked and fawned over, he really got the picture—“put some clothes on and give each other some space already!!”

Let’s talk French fries…I’m salivating just thinking of it. I gotta say, Mommy and Daddy just might have something with this idea, and if not, Mimi La Rue is certainly enjoying the effort. Fries are so easily dropped!

While Mommy's away, this pooch will play

Hello my furry faced friends! In case you didn’t notice, Mimi La Rue was barely in this week’s episode of Tori & Dean: Inn Love and all I can say is thank goodness for that! While Mommy and Daddy and baby LiLi were busy in New York City drumming up new business, Mimi La Rue was home doing shots and drinking Rum and Cokes with Mommy’s friend and temporary innkeeper! I’m not one to brag but I was pretty wild this weekend without the fam around. I did things that would make Lindsey, Paris and good ‘ol Brit Brit blush! Let me know if you read anything about me in the tabloids…I thought I saw a few flash bulbs in the bushes Saturday night. See, Mommy, Daddy and baby LiLi aren’t the only ones whose pictures are worth money, damn it!

Anyway, I could care less that they left me home and took HIM. I mean, he’s cute (I guess) but who needs that drooling kid around anyway? What? You think I missed him? No way! You think I missed his infectious giggling, his constant cooing, his adorable toothless grin, his beautiful eyes…? That’s preposterous so don’t think it again!

Ok, enough about baby brother. Let’s talk French fries. Now, Mommy’s I-want-to-have-a-baby idea was little scary and it left us with HIM but starting a French fry business is absolutely brilliant! Here’s why I like it and correct me if I’m wrong my fellow poochie mamas— French fries are small, greasy and easily dropped. Looks, like Mimi La Rue will be eatin’ pretty well if this goes through…pretty well, my friends.

Show me your fur, I'll show you mine

Ok, um…did anyone else notice the 5 foot 5 cat and 6 foot rat walking around the B&B this week drinking Rum and Cokes with Mommy and Daddy? Please tell me you saw that on Tori & Dean: Inn Love . If not, someone dial the Vet immediately because Mimi La Rue has officially lost it.

I almost wet the rug when I saw those two self-proclaimed “Furries” walk in. How dare they call themselves Furry? I didn’t see one ounce of natural fur on those two! So what’s the deal? Anybody with a bottle of crazy glue and a shag rug can call themselves furry now? I’m appalled!

So did you see Mommy on HSN? She was fabulous, right? I have to admit that I was a little perturbed with her. She went all the way to Florida to sell her jewelry and not once (not once!) did she mention me! She blabbered about little LiLi though and how she wants to bring him with her next time but not once did she mention me or how great I look with those baubles around my neck! What about me Mommy!? What about Mimi?!

Well, I better go! Mommy and Daddy are leaving town again so I’ve got to fluff my fur (my real fur!) for the big party! Until next time…

Ain’t No Party Like a Mimi Party

Hey there Poochie Mammas! Hope you all saw this week’s episode of Tori & Dean: Inn Love because it was my favorite yet! Mimi La Rue is officially back!

Did you all see my fabulous fashion show? Those teenagers looked so adorable. I just can’t wait until Mommy has a little girl so we can dress her in frilly pink dresses with little bows and…hold it! What am I saying? One of those bubblegum-chewing teeny boppers must have slipped a Mickey (and I don’t mean the mouse) in my water bowl because I certainly do NOT need another one of those around, cooing and sucking up all the attention. Ug!

Also, did you notice how I oh-so-casually helped myself to that fabulous muffin after the tea party? Mommy didn’t even yell at me. In fact, she thought it was endearing. Well, it was! Everything Mimi La Rue does is endearing. And, I must say that my ruffle-y pink dress was smashing! I snacked on muffin remnants the whole afternoon!

Well, I should go. My other siblings – Chiquita and Ferris – can’t do anything without me. We had a wild time with Mommy and Daddy out of town. What happens in Chateau La Rue, stays in Chateau La Rue! Thank the doggy gods that there were no paparazzi around! Whew!

Three cameos and a gay wedding!

Did you see?! Did you see?! I’m not one to brag but if we were keeping score, I’d say this week on Tori and Dean: Inn Love it was Team Mimi: 1 and Team LiLi: 0! That’s right everyone, Mimi La Rue got three (count them, three!) close-ups! One of them was even in the opening credits while I was sitting on Mommy’s lap.

Mimi La Rue and poor little bro (So he’s growing on me. Sue me!) were both inexcusably ignored this week as Mommy and Daddy ran around trying to plan a wedding and bachelor party for two guys in love. There were more squeaky vibrating toys in the house than at the pet shop mommy takes me to.

Anyway, I suppose I can’t complain too much. I got to wear my favorite pink dress to the wedding. Little bro showed up in a onesie. Oh, please brother! Could you be any tackier?

So there you have it my friends! Three cameos, a better wardrobe and a house full of squeaky toys…I do believe that Mimi La Rue is gaining speed in this competition. I’d like to thank all of my fans for your support.

Five Seconds!

Smooches everyone! So, I’m assuming that you all caught my adorable little face on this week’s episode of "Tori&Dean: Inn Love". Well, if not don’t feel too bad because if you blinked you probably missed it. That’s right my furry friends, Mimi La Rue was only in this week’s episode for a measly five seconds! Loving Mommy and Daddy completely tossed Mimi aside and gave baby bro, LiLi, all the shine time! Man, I am so over that slobbery (incredibly irresistible and adorable) grin of his. Mimi La Rue can grin too!

All this quality Liam time is enough to make me spit up my Kibbles and Bits. Did you see how he “oh so casually” marked his territory on the B&B wall while Mommy was changing him? I’ve marked my territory plenty of times in that joint and I didn’t get squat! Little bro over here hits the wall (the wall!) during a diaper change and Mommy calls it cute and tickles his belly! It’s obvious he’s longing to be me—frivolous piddling, drool, incoherent responses to terms of endearment! What’s next? A belly pat and a shaking leg?

It seems to me like someone wants to play dirty. Oh, I’m up for it little brother and watch your back because nobody drools and piddles better than Mimi LaRue! Good bye for now, my fellow Mimi groupies (and, you too, you LiLi loving mutts).

Team Mimi vs. Team LiLi: Where do you stand?

I’m guessing you’ve all seen this week’s "Tori&Dean: Inn Love" on Oxygen—that lovable reality show about my favorite puppy lovers my mommy Tori Spelling and daddy Dean McDermott. Ah, yes, they make an adorable couple don’t they? And Mommy says now that they’ve added my little brother Liam to the family, “life is just beginning.” Ugggg! All of it is enough to make me piddle on their white shag rug! I don’t know about you, but ever since that happy, hairless drooler came around Mimi La Rue has been completely ignored! They told me his name was Liam but they call him LiLi. Hmmm…LiLi? Mimi? Coincidence? I think not! It’s a plot to replace me! So what if he’s cute? So is Mimi! So what if he’s cuddly? So is Mimi! So what if he smells good? So does…well, who wants to smell like a flower anyway?

Then, unless Mommy ate some bad Mexican, I overheard her tell LiLi’s nanny (Mimi never had a nanny) that all that vomiting could mean she’s having another one! Another LiLi to replace Mimi! This is preposterous. What will they call this one, NiNi?

To top it all off, they take Mimi back to the Bed and Breakfast that now has a mice problem. That’s right, I said mice! Mimi La Rue does not canoodle with mice. I mean, do I look feline to you? That dirty mouse Mommy pulled out from the bathtub got more attention than Mimi!

I'm back in the spotlight tonight!
