Best Tricks:
He has a number of tricks but sits on his hind legs quite well since learning it in class.

Arrival Story:
My husband and I had been pondering getting another dog and I had gone online to our local No Kill shelter where we had gotten Jady a couple years ago. I found Eli described as a Lab/Rottie like Jady but the Rottie in him is only in coloring more than anything. Needles too say, we took Jady to the shelter, met him and then had them meet. They hit it off instantly and have been enjoying the last 24+ hours together. They do not fight about food, toys, or bedding. What a relief!!!

Forums Motto:

I have now been with my family for just over 2 months now.

I have learned that it is pretty easy around here and that Jady and I have it quite nice here. Food, water, treats, and lots of love. The hardest part has been having to go through basic obedience training which I just finished on Monday evening at the local PetsMart store. (That is where Jady took both basic and advance.)

See, I had a few things to learn and my biggest issue was that I was very fixated on small creatures such as rats, gerbils, etc. They have those all in a display right in the middle of the store. When I was near that display, I did not hear or see anything else around me and I would bark and lunge at the displays if given the chance.

This really nice lady was there one evening to observe our teacher giving a class. This lady was her boss. She took about 15 minutes with me and my people, lots of treats, and a clicker. By the time she got done, I was a changed dog. Now I look at the little creatures and could care less. It was amazing and I will tell you, my people were so happy. I also mind them and come when asked to. In other words, I learned even though there are still times I am a bit of a lunkhead!!!

Thanks for coming here and reading all about me. Have a great day!
