My old man....he truly is.

Bandit, I feel like I sometimes neglect you...okay, maybe I do often, and I feel bad about that. You've been with me since I was a little baby, and I could never imagine life without you. Yeah, I want Natalie real bad, but if I had to choose between giving up you and getting her or keeping you and not getting her, I would definitely choose the second one. In a heartbeat.

I know I tend to play favorites a lot, but you know I love you in a special way. I may get on to you for growling at Jaxon, and I may defend him whenever Mom talks about the fight you guys had, I may spend more time with the huskies than you and Heidi, but you'll always have an extra special place in my heart. You're my old man, my guardian, almost like a second father, only a lot smaller, and furry. Not to mention better-tempered. ;) You've put up with everything I've done over the years...and I know I haven't always been a good owner to you. :( But you never cared. You forgave me for everything I ever did to you. You never had a single thought against me. Always sticking by my side, a loyal, faithful companion until the last beat of your heart. Seems like it's going to beat a long time. At least, I hope so. ♥

To put it simply, Bandit, I love you, always have, always will, and I'm really sorry for the way I've treated you over the years. You always put up with me, no matter how annoying I got. I could never ask for anything more.
