Arrival Story:
Sarge started out his life in a family with 4 children. For some unknown reason he was given to the pound. My mothers friends mom (mouthful!) is on the call list for dogs that are going to be put down. Well Sarge was next on the list, so she took him in. Sarge soon came to be too much for her to handle and was then given to her son who has a boxer/bullmastiff mix named Dozer. Sarge stayed with him for a while, and his sister (my moms friend -Kim-) fell in love with him and took him in. Billy couldn't handle the two big dogs in a small house. So Sarge was with Kim for a while, and had a buddy named Jack, a lhasa apso mix, with one eye. I went to visit one week, and Sarge immediately became attached to me, and I fell in love with him. My mom and I soon decided that we would take Sarge home with us. He wouldn't eat when I left, and would mope and become depressed when i left my moms friends house. Sarge had a few behavior problems when we brought him home. He got along fine with my GR/Chow mix Sheiba, but she soon passed away from natural causes and cancer.

Bio:
He was VERY over protective, and would bark and growl at anyone that walked by... we worked with him and he is now the best dog, and is friendly with other people and dogs. We fattened him up a bit. He was about 60 pounds when we first got him, and is now a good 85-90 pounds. He is VERY protective of me when he needs to be. He's my baby and I will never ever give him up. He's the biggest baby in the world, and thinks he's a 5 pound lap dog.

My Tail of Devotion for Sargent

Sarge:
You were my beloved shadow. You made my day bright, and comforted me while I was down. You kept my head up when things didn't go right, and you never lost hope in me. You did as I asked, and returned everything 1000x stronger. You were my heart dog, my shining star. You made life so fun and joyful, but you're now at the Rainbow Bridge. I miss you so much -- I lost part of my heart when you left. You are free from suffering and looking down upon your family. We'll meet again baby boy... wait for me. I cannot wait to see that wagging nub, and those slobbery kisses. I'll never be able to replace and fill that hole. I cannot replace the joy and laughter you brought into my life. I love you Bubby.

Love always,
Your Mommy
