I really am an excellent helper. Just ask me, I am the greatest.
Mom is starting to bring in stuff from the garden and preparing it to freeze for the winter. She picked a pail of peas the other day. She left it on the step while she went into the house to get a pail to put the shelled peas into. When she came back outside, I had the bucket between my front legs and was happily eating peas, pods and all, from the bucket. I'm such a good helper! This saved momma a lot of work!
She picked some beans later on and I did the same thing. Again, cutting down on the work mom has to do!
There has also been a lot of saskatoon berry picking going on. Mom finds the best berry picking spot and then picks the berries highest on the trees. She holds down the lower branches for me and I happily pick the berries off.
This morning, after our morning walk, I went to the pea patch and picked some peas all by myself. Yup, I am the greatest helper!
You're going to ask for a raise, right? I'll be happy to write you a letter of merit...
Yum-O! I love this time of year and especially helping eat the berries and what's ripe in the garden!
Mmmmmm... sounds absolutely nummy!!! :o)
Oh this is too funny! I like helping with garden food too :-) I love tomatoes and corn. Ask mom about the yucky corn cob that I put in bed with her one night. You should have heard her squeal when she rolled over and felt something cold & slimey ;-)
You are getting your veggies! You ARE smart, and kind of a plant hunter! Stealthy Abby! Get the peas before they get you!! Does tuna grow on a plant? I wish we had tuna plants I could practice picking!
