A long time ago, there was once a Man - I'll not reveal His name yet - who loved everyone who ever lived on the world. And He wanted to help them. He would even die for them! Now, some people hated this Man. They wanted Him dead! But, this Man had never done anything wrong. These men arrested this Man. They had false witnesses testify against Him. After the "trial", they tortured Him...pulled out His beard, spit on Him, hit Him, whipped Him, and some other terrible things! They were going to hang Him on a cross. Though the Man was in an unbeleivably terrible condition, they made Him carry the cross they were going to hang Him on all the way up to the top of a hill. Once there, they put Him on the cross and drove nails into His hands and feet. But did He hate them? Did He curse them? No. He just said "Father, forgive them. For they know not what they do." A short while later, He died. The people who hated Him put him in a tomb and made guards watch it, just in case someone who loved Him take Him and claim that He had risen from the dead. 3 days later, He rose from the dead! ("Oh, grave, where is thy victory? Death where is thy sting?" Forgot the reference.) Now, I will reveal this Man's name and why He was willing to die on the cross for the entire world. His Name is Jesus Christ, and he has many others. Including God, Prince of Peace, Lion of the tribe of Judah, Rose of Sharon, and Counselor. As I said, He loved the entire world. Why? Because he created the world and everything in it. Even you and I. But, sin entered the world through Adam and Eve and now we all must suffer for it. You see, all humans inherited a sinful nature from Adam and Eve. Even one sin will get you into Hell! God is love, but God is just. He cannot allow sin into Heaven. How will our humans get to Heaven then, you ask. It's very simple really. Here's what you do: Believe that Jesus died on the cross for you sins, for all of our sins. Ask Him to come into your heart and cleanse you from all unrighteousness [sin]. Tell Him that you believe in Him and that you want Him as your personal Lord and Savior.
