Okay~we barely get the lil Prissy Pom Pom outta da house wif Nanna and Grandmom and we find out da puppy fever is STILL in da house. Apawrently, research (on & off) has been going on behind our backs *shock!* over a year?
On August 14th, Mommie leaves and when she returns~something furry in a carrier is with her........ Eeeeeeekkkkk! Another visitor? WHAT? Did u say a sister? How are we supposed to take that? Do we have to share stuff? Are u serious? How about food sharing ~ no, at least that's a relief!
We made her work to become one of "the Girls~" and I guess we'd have to admit, we don't know when it happened, but she DEF is one of us. Molly doesn't play with her a whole lot coz she crawls all over her and pulls her hair constantly and when Molly tells her off, she doesn't begin to listen. Me? I'm da boss and we play together, but she doesn't bother me constantly! I even let her chew on the hair on my back leg sometimes. She used to follow me everywhere. Thank dog fur that play pen of hers, or we might not get a nap, if ya know what I mean! She's getting bigger, but she's only about four and a half lbs. now, even though she thinks she is as big as we are, BOL! I suppose we finally use a different "tone" now, when we say there's a little sistah in da house!! Here's hopin they don't decide to add to our trio, heh heh heh!!

Oh joy~ The little rescue pom that mommie adopted from our Vet, for our Nanna (her Mother), is finally gone. We think she is 6 (ish)wk.s old; she weighs 1 lb. 12 oz now! (her Dogster page is #825614, we'll transfer it to Nanna pretty soon) She is in Texas wif her new Mom & Grandmother, plus two doggies, Our aunt Krickett, an older toy fox terrier, and our aunt Pebbles, a 6 month old long haired Chihuahua. Apparently all the doggies are fast furiends~Yaaaaaaaaaay! Princess Pom Pom aka Prissy will have the bestest home. Our mommie misses dat puppy breath, but we are happy to be wifout, coz Prissy is outta here! BOL! No more puppy breath.... for at least awhile.....

What a DAY! Bella Paige has been found! A nice lady found her last night and recognised her from da missing Posters, and took her in to keep her safe and called her mama this morning :D WOO HOO! What a family Reunion!!!!!! Can U inmagine!!
In all da excitement, everydoggie being preoccupied wif that situation, nopup noticed Bella Paige had been named Dogster's DOTD!!!! What an honor :D She is truly the most fun loving, courageous, creative and compassionate pup. It's no surprise that our little Homecoming Queen has been chosen to represent Dogster as it's DOTD~ she's soooo Special!! In fact our group, Shih Tzu's and Friends United (STAFU) had already named her Dog of the Month, our Miss February!
Thanks to all da prayers and compassion showed to her by family and furiends and strangers, alike! We WUF u Bellla Paige, Welcome HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our precious lil furiend, Bella Paige is MISSING!
Her family is disraught and needs our prayer support! She has gone missing from her home in Orange County. Many have posted a picture of her as their main pic hoping the Dogster community can help. WE CAN! Bella P's dogster ID is #468339. Here is a description of Bella Paige that her Mommie gave us this morning:
*****Bella was wearing a pink collar with a gold heart tag.
She is not microchiped... she was scheduled to be this month.
She is gold and white with a white tail and four white paws.
She is aprox 10 lbs and has a black rubberband in her top knotch.
I cant thank everyone enough for all the prayers and kind and comforting words, I am really trying to stay calm, but its not working. If any of you would like to post her information some where that would great.. I am trying to get her all the exposure I can get.*****
Pleazzzzzzzze PRAY. If you live nearby and can do more~Grrrrrreat! Let's CROSS POST everywhere, and there is a thread in the informational Pls~ FORUMS. Everywoof is SO heartbroken over this. Bella Paige recently made the Orange County Register's Top 100 in the "My Dog's Face" competition. She is an active and caring, creative pup, friend to all she meets here on Dogster, an outgoing pup 4 sure! Her mommie, Annette is such a compassionate person. Let's all do everything we can.......
~Here's the link to her page and a candle link so u can light a
candle 4 her speedy & safe return!~

Mama (doing research, yet again) came across this article and thought it was very interesting. Just thought it might shed some light on the reported benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar. Again, this is just an article I found and I'm not suggesting all of it is accurate. Merely presenting it as "food for thought."
"I am sure you have heard of using apple cider vinegar for natural remedies in people, but have you heard of using it for your dog's health? Apple cider vinegar can help with digestion, gas, constipation, bladder stones, and urinary tract infections. It is used to deter insects such as mosquitoes, fleas and tics. It can relieve skin conditions, and even take away the odor of skunk.
Many herbalists recommend the use of vinegar. It is recommended that you buy vinegar made from cold pressed, organically grown whole apples to get the benefit of the naturally occurring enzymes.
In it's natural form apple cider vinegar is a natural antibiotic, antiseptic, and deodorant. It helps to remove tooth tartar; prevents tooth decay and hair loss (even mange), prevents and heals gum disease.
There are many other benefits to using apple cider vinegar. It is known to reduce common infections, aid whelping, improve stamina, prevent muscle fatigue after exercise, increase resistance to disease, and protect against food poisoning. Cider vinegar is rich in the vitamins, minerals, and trace elements found in apples, especially potassium; it normalizes acid levels in the stomach, improves digestion and the assimilation of nutrients, reduces intestinal gas and fecal odors, helps cure constipation, alleviates some of the symptoms of arthritis and helps prevent bladder stones and urinary tract infections.
You can feed apple cider vinegar daily to your dog to keep him healthy. Add to the food or water. You may need to gradually increase the amount. Start with a few drops and slowly increase each day until reaching the recommended daily dose below.
The approximate amounts recommended :
1 teaspoon - dogs up to 14 pounds
2 teaspoon - medium dogs -15 to 34 pounds
1Tablespoon - large dogs-35 to 84 pounds
By mixing in the food or water of your dog, apple cider vinegar will restore the acid/alkaline balance of his digestive tract, getting rid of the brown spots in the lawn. A correct PH balance also helps keep away the fleas, black flies, ticks, and other external parasites. Your dog will have less chance of getting ringworm, staph infections, streptococcus, and mange.
A NOTE OF CAUTION: Do not use apple cider vinegar if your dog is sensitive or allergic to yeast or if he has a chronic yeast infection. Also, do not give to dogs with irritated intestines.

*Be on your way*
My dogs live here, they're here to stay. You don't like pets? Be on your way. They share my home, my food, my space. This is their home, this is their place.
You will find dog hair on the floor, They will alert you're at the door. They may request a little pat, A simple 'NO' will settle that.
It gripes me when I hear you say, 'Just how is it you live this way? They smell, they shed, they're in the way.' WHO ASKED YOU? is all I can say.
They love me more than anyone. My voice is like the rising sun, They merely have to hear me say, 'C'mon, time to go and play.' Then tails wag and faces grin, They bounce and hop and make a din. They never say, 'No time for you,' They're always there, to GO and DO.
And if I'm sad, they're by my side. And if I'm mad, they circle wide. And if I laugh, they laugh with me. They understand, they always see.
So, once again, I say to you, 'Come visit me,' but know this too... My dogs live here, they're here to stay. You don't like pets? Be on your way. They share my home, my food, my space. This is their home, this is their place.
(BOL! Gotta like that, dont'cha?)
