Arrival Story:
At the end of her racing days, Siona suffered the fate of many ex-racers and was dumped on the street. She was picked up by the pound and was scheduled to be put down when the Greyhound Awareness League stepped in. Aislinn, her future Mommy, was looking to foster a greyhound, so Cat and she visited Siona. "Foster" became "adopt" very quickly. Siona wormed her way into their hearts by the time they got back home.
Bio:
Siona is an Irish-bred greyhound born in 1997, according to her ear tattoos. Details about her life are sketchy. We do know that she has several scars on her body from her previous life. She was terrified of humans, especially men, when we first adopted her. She did little more than cower in the corner at first. It took 6 months of love and patience before she started to come out of her shell. Three years later, she is a happy spoiled little princess who loves to be around people. Siona is still uncertain with strangers or in new situations, but she is world's above better than when we got her.
After living with her family in Scotland for a year, she got shipped to the US when we returned to the States. Siona is a true world-traveler and got to travel "first class" by British Airways. They took excellent care of her.
Siona shares her home with two kitties, Azelle and Khadin. Khadin scratches his face on her claws. She (grudgingly) shares her blankets and food with them.
