Arrival Story: After Zeffer left our home, Mom was very sad. She'd cried for weeks. Every effort she made, to make sure Zeffer was safe and sent up to Kay in Iowa, got blocked.
Dad realized that the only way to make Mom happy again was to find a new puppy. He told Mom to look for a new pup. She smiled. Mom looked on Petfinder.com and found a few Bichons and BichonPoos that she wanted more information on. And Linda the wonderful lady Mom got Cuki from was out of town. Then in the local paper on-line, Mom saw a picture of ME and melted immediately.
Mom phoned right away. Debbie was a nice lady who had me, and had raised me from a pup with her famiy, and she had my mom and dad and uncle who are really cute and sweet.
A few days later, after Mom looked at a few other purebred Bichons, she talked to Debbie again. Yep! I was still ready to come home to her.
Debbie and her family drove me to Glendale from Fountain Hills to meet Mom and Dad. Mom said she was 99.9% sure she'd keep me, but had to see if Cuki and Neksi liked me.
Yep! The liked me!
I got to stay!
I love my new home. Two playmates that are four-legged and two playmates with only two legs.
How come humans only have two legs when four are so practical?
Bio: I found out where the poodle in me comes from. Grandpa ordered a "mail-order bride" and she turned out to be a toy poodle and not a Bichon. Well, he fell in love at first sight, and went inter-racial! Good for me, because I am just absolutely stinkin' adorable. ha! My points are all black, but I have a few pink pads on my paws. I happen to look exactly like my new brother, Cuki. And...don't tell him...but when I'm full grown I am going to try to be the Alpha Boy around here. Shhhhh....
I'm almost ten months old and I'm not Alpha, but either is Cuki any longer.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Mom talked to Granmom's daughter Crystal yesterday...her weekly update on me. I am a HOOT! I am adored--but then Mom knew I would be. I do everything my funny maltese/shih-tzu stepbrother does. Like he jumps on his long legs under the trees trying to get birds so I jump up under the trees on my very-much-shorter legs and make everyone laugh. I steal Stetson's favorite Heart squeaky and lay on it and watch Stetson get "unglued"--whatever that means.
Granmom hasn't been feeling well with the flu so we've been staying at Crystal's a lot. I love Granmom's granddaughters so much.
Life is more than good...you did the right thing Mom. You made a lot of people very happy with me and by extension, I'm a ahappy little boy!
Luka
Mom found out last weekend that her little boy Maltese Sparky died. He's been with granmom for two years. Granmom took really good care of Sparky in his last years and loved him very much.
As soon as Mom found out, she wanted to give me to Granmom to help her heart heal.
Granmom came over today and scooped me up and hugged on me. I didn't really understand what the big deal was. But I liked how she kissed me and talked so sweetly to me.
So tonight I'm with Granmom. Mom is a little sad, I know. But Mom...you did the right thing and Granmom will take really good care of me too.
Tell Cuki and Neksi that I will miss them, but I'll be a good boy for Granmom and maybe we can have a play day together once in a while.
Granmom says I can sleep under the blankets on her bed at night, like I love to do. I hope she puts her arm across me like Mom always does.
I'll miss my BLC pals. Mom will keep you updated with my furry, friendly frantic blitzen happy life.
Love and puppy smooches,
Luka Sky Wah Kah
Wow! Boot camp was SO much fun this time. When Mom and Dad picked us up today I was with a Mastiff and not scared one bit.
I jumped so high when I saw Mom that she wasn't sure if I was me, or if I was Cuki. She picked me up and I had BEEFED up.
Mom weighed me when I we got home. I now weight 16pounds. That's only three pounds less than Cuki. WOW!
My NEW nickname? LUKA BRASI after the hit man character from "The Godfather."
I'm a tough guy. There's gonna be some big blitzing in this house from now on, and once in a while I'LL win.
