Buddy's Beat

Yay for me! Dogster picked my diary today to be speshul! Yay for me! Liver treats, Mom? Mr. Bingley's mom made us some deliverus liver treats from scratches (I dunno how that works. I tried scratching for an hour after I heard that and nothing happened ceptin' I got tired and had to take an extra nap). So I think Mom needs to break them out and hand them over. It's only right.

Such excitin' times we live in! There is fresh snow in our yard tonight and the air is cool, but not really cold. It is in the low freezing zones, but not like in the colder freezin' zones. Lexie said her boypup Zubee doesn't understand that at all cuz they turn on their heaters and fire up their fires when it gets into the 50s and 60s. That is very warm for this time of year for us. I think the snow would even melt if it were in the 60s. Lexie said there is two kinds of 60s, too. One is like us in spring and fall and one is like h-e-double-hockey-sticks. I think in Canada if it gets to 60 it means you are dead or sumthin'. Anypup in Canada know what I am sayin'? Sumthin' about cells and heights. How did I start thinkin' about this? My diary is picked today! Yay for me!

Mom says she hasta work tomorrow again and then gets to stay home for Santa Paws. I am still thinkin' about that long thing that Gretta sent me in the United States Postal Service. (Isn't that fancy? She is always doin' fancy stuff like that. She is the best.) Bein' a diary pick is jus like an extra happiness before the big happiness that is Christmas.

Oh, and did I tell you? We are havin' a pal come and stay wif us tomorrow! His name is Kaiser and he is a schnauzer poodle and looks kinda like us! He is only a year old and he is dark colored and his pawrents are traveling and needed a place for him to stay. I volunteered us immeediatelly and Mom said that was okay so it's a go! How could I forget to tell you this?! I must have let my diary pick go all to my head or sumthin'! Lexie is not the most excited about it, but I can't think of anything more fun, exceptin' of course if Gretta were to come here or if Santa Paws reads my letter to him and picks me up on Christmas Eve and flies me over to Cowlumbus to see Gretta in the fur. I haven't heard back from him yet, but I am thinkin' it would be a slam dunk. (I am too cool)

Time to remind Mom about the liver treats. You wouldn't beleeve how good they are. I will have to ask Mom to put the recipe in here so everypup can have some of their own. BOL!

Congratulations on being diary pick. I always enjoy reading your diary entries, but the important thing is those home made liver treats. They sound good. Mommy made human cookies yesterday and I got one, and I have only one word to describe the cookies: HEAVEN, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and thanks for being my pal.

Awwww! My dreamy boypup is now an author of note. Do I sniff a Nobel or Pulitzer in the offing? "Hello? Stockholm? This is me Gretta speaking. I would like to nominate Buddy of Milkbonewalkies for his memoir, Buddy's Beat."
