If I have told them birdies once, I have told them more than once - do not fly over my yard! But did they listen? No. They didn't listen to me and they didn't heed my repeated warnings. And my warnings were very loud, let me assure you. So when a bunch of them decided to dive bomb our lawn yesterday, I was waiting for them, and I was ready.
Kapow! I grabbed one right outta the mid air! Then I gave it a figure-eight ride around my head, just for good measure. And because he was trying to peck at my lip. That din feel so nice. So I shook him up good.
Mom was outside and she heard the ruckus and came runnin' and told me in no uncertain terms to drop that bird. Just like on that TV show when all those people don't want that bus in front of the new house and they all yell, "Move! That! Bus!" Just like that, only she said, "Drop! That! Bird!" and only she said it faster all together.
So I dropped the bird and he died right there on the lawn, as he should have. Dumb bird, comin' in here and enterin' controlled air space and all. A'course Mom wouldn't let me have my due wif that bird, but at least I got a good lick on 'em before she sent him off to the place where dead birdies go. As Gretta suspected, it tasted like chicken. Yummy.
My prize carted off from under my powerful self, I had to settle for stealing Lexie's indestructible everlasting treat ball. And even that din last once Mom found out I had taken it. She wrested it from between my super clenched teeth and gave it back to Lexie. Phooey!
Yeah, what part of "controlled air space" do those silly birdies not get?? I have the same problem here, Buddy.
Wowza! Way to go on the bird catch! Too bad you couldn't keep it.
Welcome to the group of us pups that have caught a bird. I just don't understand why humans don't like it???!!!! Dumb humans!
Buddy, you sound like you are pretty good at this. I have a large yard and I am the only sheriff, c'mon over! BOL!
Bud, I now I know that we could make it on our own. With my beauty and your brains, errrr... skills, we could be livin' the high life!
