"This is our Civic Auditorium. It is home to many award ceremonies. The Emmys were here for 25 years. It is all decroated up for the Latin Music Awards. Music and dance performances fill the auditorium year around."
"This is the Central Library. It is all dark wood and Andulsian like inside. If you stand in front of it, you can see the Civic audtiorium 6 blocks away. Along those blocks are other civic buildings in the same architecture. When Mom is inside she sneezes"
"This is the Humane Society. It is often refered to as the Ritz Dog, because of its state of the art accomodations. Sadly it is a kill shelter. Grrrr

"Every November a pack of whackies descend on Pasadena for the Doo Dah Parade. It was started as a parody of the Rose Parade, but has grown a life of its own. Spectators toss tortillas and spray silly string on the marchers. Anything goes, except no horses"
"The Rose Bud parade has the local children decorating their "vehicles" with donated flowers and parading down Lake Avenue. It is a fun event and dogs can play too."
"The Arroyo, means big ol' ditch, is 8 miles long and is home of the Rose Bowl, a public golf course, sports fields, parks, Kid's Space, an aquatic center, hiking trails, a casting pond, an archery range and equestrian trails."
"Kids' Space is a discovery and science exploring venue. It has indoor and outdoor things to do. Mom and Dad spend a lot of time there with the grandpeeps."
"Dougal on the Colorado Street Bridge. It goes over the Arroyo from one part of Pasadena to another. Its a nice place to walk and look down into the arroyo."
"And the Norton Simon Museum. It is the one you see on TV as the floats round the corner each New Years Day. Lots of modern art and some naughty art too. Rodin's Thinker is in front."
"Let me in. The Huntington Gardens and Library. Many famous paintings including Blue Boy and Pinky, scholarly works and fabulous gardens. Huntington was your basic robber baron, who left a wonderful legacy."
"Including a trust that underwrites the Huntington Hospital. A stay there is ALMOST like staying in a 5 star Hotel. The food is even really, really good."
"I live in a townhouse. The homes are built around a park and a pool. Here is my house. Pasadena is known for its many trees, and you can see why. You can't see anything but trees."
"The Hollywood Court was a common style of building in the 20-30's and many are still found in Pasadena. There is one big house at the end of a walk, which is lined with small cottages. They come in every architectural style imaginable."
"The Craftsman movement is alive and well in Pasadena. This is one of the finest examples and is a National Historical Home. It is the Gamble House, by Greene and Greene. It is maintained by the USC School of Architecture."
"Craftsman houses have carefully crafted details including windows that can let big ol dogs climb out on the roof. This is one cool dog, he comes out every morning, sits there, and never barks at anything or anyone who goes by."
"The Hotel Green is an interesting place, its an old railroad hotel. Today, half of it is expensive condos and the other half is low cost housing for seniors and the disabled. Betcha can't tell which is which."
"Another new plan uses the New York model with a California twist. Shops on the ground floor, offices above and apartments or condos on top. Here is a view of our open air mall with apartments above."
"Recently, older homes have been torn down and big apartment complexes are springing up all over town. While we welcome new neighbors, we are not happy about the additonal traffic."
"This is Cal Tech. They used to let us run around all over the big lawns and jump in the fountains. Then they found out we were clogging up the filters with our hair, so we were banished off leash. We still walk there. Lots of trees, flowers and critters."
"Mom didn't take this picture of the Jet Proposion Lab. These peeps put things in space. They have been to every planet except Pluto, but then it isn't a planet anymore. We know lots of rocket scientists and their dogs, who aren't any smarter than me."
"My hood is used for filming a lot, cause they can make it look like almost anywhere, if they avoid the palm trees. There are usually two or 3 shoots going on everyday. The peeps in the crafts tent give me treats. I love filming."
"We've got parrots. Story is they escaped from a burning pet store in the 20s, but who knows. They make a boatload of noise. And you thought beagles were loud."
"Pasadena playhouse, which you can see is California's State Theater. Carol Burnett just donated a big pile of money and they are going to add a huge additional theater across the street. My peeps like to go there."
