A day in life of Jack

Toronto Canada

From Jersey we were on our way to Toronto Canada. I had lots of fun. I've never been so spoiled by my Dad's aunt and uncles. I was a hit in Canada!!!

New Jersey

Mom and Dad had a wedding to attend. I met a new friend a yorkie, a lot smaller than me and younger as well.

New York

Went to New York back in August. It was a lot of fun. I did my business at Central Park. It was right across from our hotel. While mom and Dad toured New York, I stayed at Biscuits and Bath, a cage free day care facility. The lady told mommy that I was shy. Just not use to the New Yorkers you see.

Separation Anxiety

I am proud to report that I no longer have one. I don't have to be right where mom is. Since mom got a new job and she can't take me with her anymore. I had to learns to be by myself. Mom and Dad make sure that I go out for my walk prior to them leaving. They also leave the radio on to keep me company. On hot days a get a cold bowl of water with ice. The fan is on as well. Before mom leaves she stuffs my puzzle toy with treats. So with that said I have learned to stay and I don't have to right by Mama. I don't cry and howl anymore. You could say I have matured. We'll I am two after all. :)

Teeth Cleaned

About 3 weeks ago my teeth got cleaned. Apparently both my parents can't stand my bad breath anymore. They shaved one of my legs and they got me to sleep so they can clean my teeth. I have pearly whites now. My breath don't smell as bad anymore according to my dad. Mom brushes my teeth almost everyday now. My mom have been getting all my shots updated so I go to my vet quite frequently now. She wants to make sure that all my shots are updated before we go on vacation. I shiver everytime. The hair on my leg is starting to grow back and look normal now. The things we do for our parents. :)

New York

New York here I come. My whole family is going to New York soon including me. Yup me. I will be riding a plane. Mom chose a flight around my bedtime so I will sleep on the plane. She hopes. After New York, we will be on our way to Canada. Our first family vacation. I am so excited. Mom and Dad bought me this carrier with wheels and it looks like a laugage and i will fit under the seat. Any tips from frequent flyers out there? Mom can't wait to bring me to Central park. She made sure the hotel we are staying at is pet friendly. Well Bon Vougage folks I am off to my summer travels.

Playing Fetch

I love to play fetch especially with my squeaky toys. Last wednesday my threw my bear like always but as soon as I got off the couch I over estimated it and hit my hind right leg on the coffee table. Mom put ice on it immediately and I was not crying and limping anymore. I just wanted to be by myself. Mom's friend who had a German Sephered named Buffy came over for a visit. Mom paid lots of attention to her and gave her my cookies, its ok I don't like them anyway. Then she gave her my yellow duck, she said I dont play with it cause the rubber is a bit hard. I have a lot smaller mouth than her you see. So then I pretended that i was hurt and started limping and crying again. Mom put ice on it again and I went to sleep.
The following day I walked fine to potty. Kokomo was already at the office so i rushed in to say Hi! Momo said hi to my mom and I started crying. Momo's mom paid attention to me and was wondering whats wrong my mom told her what happened last night but apparently I raised up the wrong leg. The rest of the day I want nothing to do with my mom.
I can walk around the block and run too, but as soon as daddy pays a bit of attention to me i start crying and shaking. Mom thinks I'm dramatic and will be bringing me to the vet soon. Mom already called the vet and told her to just keep a close eye on me over the weekend cause my appetite is great and I poop and pee just fine. Mom said i am now a laid back dog and she's wondering what happened to her crazy hyper active puppy.

Spa Day

Tuesday, Kokomo and I went in for our monthly grooming session. She got a haircut while I was just getting a trim. My dad did not like it when I had my hair short, so he told mommy not to get it cut. Mom just got my butt shaved and my facial fair trimed so I can see. Once mom picked up Kokomo and I we can't wait to get out of that place that I think we scratched mom by accident. Sorry mom, I just hate that place. I shake everytime they bring me there. Kokomo and I were in the car and she looked so good that i started doing the hanky panky on her. She growled and mom yelled NO! so I stopped. I knew I was in trouble. I can't help it she looked so good. hehehehehe

Home Alone

I was home alone yesterday. Mommy and Daddy went to see Harry Potter. I did not see mommy leave, she was being sneaky by hiding in the car and daddy walked me for a few mins before they left. I was so lonely and before I knew it they were already home. They came through the back door, i'm confused...did they trick me. Were they in the backyard this whole time? Anyway, that night I had a nightmare, I was so scared, I woke up and I was crying. Mommy let me out and I pottied for a bit. She put me back in the crate but I still kept crying so she picked me up and I spent the rest of the night with mom and dad. Mom said it was my separation anxiety. I don't care what it was, all i know is that i got to sleep with my parents and i was a happy camper. *wink*...jack

Saturday night

I was home with daddy...Mommy left to go celebrate auntie Kate's birthday with Auntie April. I waited and waited for her to come home. Daddy tried to put me in my crate but I refuse to go in there without mommy. So I slept right by the front door, so I can be the first one to greet her when she comes home. Huh? I think I slept the entire night, but I dont see mommy yet. Now daddy is telling me to eat breakfast. I'm confused...where is my mommy! Wait a minute why is he putting me in the car, wait daddy mommy's not here.
After a couple of hours driving... I recognize this house, oh we are at auntie Lourdes' house, is mommy here. Up the stairs down the stairs, kitchen, backyard, oh Hi auntie Lourdes, is my mommy here? No mommy! What's going on?
Hey I hear door bell! Bark Bark Arf Arf! Mommy!!! Where have you been! I miss you so much! Lick Lick Lick Lick I'm so glad your home, ok lets play!
Oh she had a girls night out...whatever that is...

Bee Sting

Today 07/07/07 not my lucky day...I got stung by a bee while i was on the flower bed doing and minding my own business. I cried and cried like a baby, I didn't care it was so painful. Mom did not know what happen at first and tried putting cold compress on it. My mom and a friend pulled out the stinger and put antiseptic and ointment on it specifically for insect bites. My mom panic and brought me to the nearest vet. Vet technicians told her to bring me to the emergency, on the way there she called my regular vet and told her just to give me some Benadryl and just to observe me. So mommy did just that and she gave lots of water too to flush it out. I feel much better now. I'm sorry mommy i did not mean to scare you. I'll be more careful next time on where I step. Now I feel drowsy from the Benadryl. Night night...love, Jack
