Dog that Could Fly

Here is a story that my best friend, Star, and I made up while we were IMing, hopefully you'll like it! Enjoy!

"Star: Once upon time there was a orange dog named

Junior: Simba, he always wanted to fly...it didn't matter with who or with what so he decided to

Star: Glue to tree branches on his back. He then backed up and ran jumping (like he saw airplanes do) but

Junior: it didn't work and all he got was a nose full of dirt. So after painfully removing the glued tree branches he decided to look for someone instead. He searched and searched until he found

Star: Dr. Doolittle. He was the best known scientist in all the great land. So Simba walked in asking about getting wings attached and Dr. Doolittle said

Junior: that it was impossible. He said cats are meant to scratch people up, birds are meant to fly, and dogs are meant to be man's best friend. However Simba wasn't satisfied with his answer, so he went to plan C which was

Star: To build his own wings like the Wright brothers did long ago. But he had no wood so instead he used...

Junior: Some plastic reeds that he found in the local warehouse, he had to give the warehouse guy the puppy eyes to get the plastic reeds, and it totally worked! Now he got into the mechanics of the wings...perfect size...perfect weight...and a perfect harness to go with it so he could be comfortable. Now all that was left was to try it out...

Star: So he ran up to the top of the hill and ran down and he did it!!! He flew. He didn’t last long in the air but long enough to quench his thirst to fly once!!

Junior: It was a great rush, and the thing is that he didn't feel bad about the short lived success, he noticed what had gone wrong with the aerodynamics, and he could fix it! He would be able to fly till his heart content, fly with the birds...fly with the planes...fly with the..uh unidentified flying object!---THE END "
