Leave a bone for Manfred

Special Gift Box:

Nicknames: Manny, Little Man, Mr. Stinkers, Manny Moo…

Quick Bio:
Likes: Most of all his Mommy & Daddy, then treats/food, and then play, going for walks, and so on

Pet-Peeves: Going to the vet's office, puuii - all them things that are being stuck everywhere…

Favorite Toy: First it was his frog, which is now retired, then his snake, which started to smell very foul and got tossed, so now it is a dead heat between his rope toy and his almost "dead" Reindeer Rudy!

Favorite Food: Treats from "Simon and Huey", any dog cookies, but most of all human food!!!

Favorite Walk: Around the block to sniff where his dog friends have been…

Best Tricks: He knows: "go potty", sit, shake, down, sit up (from laying down), high paws, release, "go to your crate", wait, stay, loose leash walking, bow, and dance. He also knows what the word treats mean!

Arrival Story: We, my husband and I, decided to get a puppy and after some research settled on a long-coated Chihuahua! Then began the search for a fairly local puppy! Initially we wanted a female, but fell in love with our little boy, in an instant! We thought we were going to have to wait at least a month before finding the right puppy, but after only a week or two we found our little furbaby!
We drove to eastern WA to pick him up (round-trip about 300 miles).

Bio: Manfred is a very sweet black and tan with white chest markings. His weight at 7 months was about 5.5 lbs and at 1 year old he weighs approx. 6 lbs. When he started loosing his baby-fur, he looked pretty scraggly and pathetic, but eventually his long coat started growing in and he has become a very beautiful puppy boy! The only thing with a long-coat male is that people think he's a girl because of the fluff! Silly, but true.
It seems his breeder is as proud over his accomplishments as we are - she has his litter sister still and she is a tri-color and almost the spitting image of their dad. Manfred takes after their maternal side!

Forums Motto: I'd rather be with my mommy!

Today was Manny's first time at Puppy Kindergarten. There were a variety of small dogs there, this class is for small breeds only, like Riley the little yorkie-pup, Sashi and Jack Black - both toy poodles, Yogi a smooth coat chi, three Cavalier spaniels - Cody, Strider and Daisy, Lucy the fox terrier, and Lucy the mini schnauzer. Manfred had sooo much fun during playtime, roaming around with the other puppies. He was almost the bell of the ball - he was so tough even though he was one of the smallest.
He did very well in class too, we just need to get him excited about meeting humans again. He had some reservations about being handled by other people!
It will be fun to practice all the commands and see him excel - this week.
We will have to take som fresh pictures and send to Linda, his breeder. Maybe I will have time to make him a new sweater, since he has almost outgrown the old one!
Well, this will have to do for now - Manfred is already fast asleep - only I and the cats are awake. Even Ron, Manfreds hu-dad is sleeping!
Night, night all!
