Sorry it took my mommy so long to post this. She has been very very busy trying to help Suncoast Animal League of Palm Harbor, Fl. in their fundraising efforts.
My ister is finally free after 18 months; she never ever has to go back to that horrible puppy mill lady in Tarpon Springs. It was a long, hard battle to get all her sisters, brothers and friends free but Suncoast fought hard and long and won.....however, it was at the expense of the animal rescue site and now all the mommies and daddies are trying to raise money to help.
The bottom line is: 119 doggies are free and are now living in wonderful homes!!!!!
There was one very sad note to this story though: one of my sister's friends died two days ago of a heart attack. Prudence was an adorable pomeranian and very much loved by all the staff and volunteers at Suncoast. She won her freedom but at a cost. We will all miss her dearly!!!

Mommy came home Wednesday night smelling of puppies! She was so excited..Suncoast Animal League took 28 dogs from a rescue organization called "Angel Rescue" in Georgetown, Ga. The doggies didn't stand a chance unless we came to help. There were all sorts of puppies; some only 9 weeks old and some as young as 3 weeks. Most of the puppies had been living under an abandoned home before they were rescued. Mommy said there were 8 older dogs that were so loving and sweet---Mom fell in love instantly with the two Aussies that came but I reminded her: You are only allowed 2 doggies where you live and that would be ME and SHAMUS!!! Not that I would mind some more pups to play with.......
Suncoast had such a wonderful adoption rate that I think a lot of pups are going to find their furever homes really soon and I am very happy for them. My Mommy says that poor Angel Rescue needs a lot of help as they are in a rural area of the country and there are strays on every corner..there isn't much my mom can do but will try and send a few dollars their way. Bless the two ladies that run the shelter!!! Bless Suncoast for helping because 'LOVE KNOWS NO BORDERS" and we have a better chance at getting the babies a good life here. Mommy wants to win the lottery and take them all!!! geez...........

On September 20th, it was National Puppy Mill Awareness Day and Mommy said it went really really well. They had a lot of people come and 99.9% of the people signed the petition to enforce stricter laws for animal welfare. They will be passing these signatures on to our local legislators and, hopefully, we can get some action!!!
Mommy says that she is still tired but happy....we have all the posters here at home and Mommy hopes that we won't have to use them next year; here's hoping we make some changes!!!!!!!! To all the people that stopped by and care, a big wet kiss and thank you!!!!
