Arrival Story:
i left my house one day (some say escape) & went for a walk. i was walking down a very busy street & the "lady with the red hair" (LWRH) saw me & pulled over. i still had part of a bush attached to my head when LWRH found me - i thought it added an outdoorsy look. she had three big dog in her car (they were at the park). a man had pulled me over to the side & LWRH said she would take me home. i didn't have any identification so we went to her house. Sir was there and there was discussion of overcrowding. so we got in the car and we were going to go to some place called "the shelter" - they seemed sad about that. i was on a great adventure so, hey, why not. after we drove for a bit there was a few phone calls & then we turned around. i stayed with LWRH & Sir until my mom found a poster and came & got me (i was a little reluctant to leave - those guys were fun!) a few months later...... mom called LWRH with a story of sadness & woe. she was moving & said she couldn't take my br0ther & i with her (see lalo) and since LWRH had said what a good dog i was would she like to have me & lalo (what a deal!) otherwise mom was going to have to take us to a shelter cuz she couldn't find a home for us. mom & LWRH called back & forth for a bit and finally it was decided...we were going to a new home! i was excited but lalo was scared - i told him it was ok but it took him a while to relax. now i have four boys, one Sir, and LWRH under my sweet feminine control (LWRH says she is boss and she is the one with the foodies.....) anyway we were saved!

Mom & her friends are throwing a holiday party event. It's for a group called K9 Rescue Mission in Northwest Indiana. They help puppies find homes. (I was once one of those kids - kind of - and want to help them too).

It's on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Landheim Training and Boardng, 13200 W. 109th Ave., Dyer, In - and it's from 10am to 4pm. If you can stop by. If you want more information contact mom at info@maxmimusbolo.com. This is some info on what's happening.

Read on...

Happy Holidays!

My name is Audrey Shebish, creator of Maximusbolo and a volunteer with the K9 Rescue Mission located in Northwest Indiana. The K9 Rescue Mission will be holding an Adoption Event and Holiday Pet Fair on Sunday, December 11, 2011. There will be pet and gift vendors, we will be taking pet portraits (by me!), a K9 demonstration by the Crown Point PD, raffle drawings and of course, meet the adoptees of K9 Rescue Mission (dogs and cats).

We are looking for vendors interested participating or donations of gift baskets or items for gift baskets for the raffle. There are no booth fees (but space is limited) or with any donation we will gladly display your business cards. We are hoping to make this a festive, fun event and give much needed visibility to K9 Rescue Mission. If you are interested in donating, please contact me at info@maximusbolo.com (& if you are in the area on Dec. 11 stop by & say hello!).

We are also looking for food and snack donations (for puppies & people): coffee, tea, hot chocolate or cider, bottled water, napkins and hot/cold cups.

K9 Rescue Mission is all volunteer. They are an all breed rescue, with a passion for rescuing pitbulls. K9 Rescue Mission is dedicated to areas in NW INDIANA that have an over abundance of strays and unwanted animals, due to not neutering/spay, abandonment, abuse or neglect. They are focused on helping people in these communities by offering low cost spay and neuter resources, saving abandoned animals and pulling from high kill shelters.

For more information on the K9 Rescue Mission visit www.k9rescuemission.com. For more information on the Adoption Event and Holiday Pet Fair you can contact me at info@maximusbolo.com.

Thank you,
Have a happy holiday season
& dogs rule!
