I waited a long time to finally get Chad. Chad is now becoming a therapy dog for an Alzheimer's patient. Bio: Chad was born with liver shunt and almost died at 12 weeks. Dr. Fuchs staff pulled him through, but his was a life of special diet and medication to survive. By age 4 his condition had progressed into hepatic encephalopathy exhibiting fear, confusion, and misery. We had him put down to end his torment, although it was difficult to let him go.
