Arrival Story:
I found him on Pet Finder. There was a little heart next to his picture and I clicked on his profile to see what the heart meant. It means special needs. I fell in love with his profile and wrote an email to the rescue. Apparently in over a year, I was the only one to express interest in him.

Bio:
Fizzgig has a neurological disorder called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. It is a genetic disorder. Basically, he has no sense of balance. He falls over a lot, circles, walks with a drunken gait, runs straight into things, and has intention tremors (he shakes when intent on something). I was told that his original owners taught him how to walk. They were expecting a baby and did not feel they could properly care for him.

Forums Motto:
I fall over when I see stupid people

Today was the best day ever!

Well, everyday is a good day, but today was great. The trainer lady told my mom to put food into one of my toys so I could work on my frustration issues. I thought that was a great idea! Not only was it a toy (which are the best things on earth), but it was a toy with food in it! She used my Orka toy, which I normally ignore and put canned food in it. I did'nt really get frustrated though. I just licked the food that I could get to, and when I could'nt get the rest out, I moved onto a toy I liked better.

And boy do I feel popular! I'm getting friend requests all over the place!

I got trained today!

Today my mom took me to Petsmart for my 2nd training class. It was lots of fun. Everyone was impressed by what I good boy I am and I got lots of praise and treats. I showed off my mad "down" "leave it" "watch me" and "stand" skills. They were'nt so impressed with my "come here" skills. I was distracted by a toy, what do they expect? I did really good on "leave it" for the biscuit. But once they brought out the tennis ball, I did'nt care about treats anymore. I wanted the BALL! There was no way I was gonna leave that ball. The trainer lady took it away, and I started SCREAMING! I still did'nt get the ball back though. My mom taught me "stay" today. I'm starting to get it. I wonder if that tennis ball is lonely without me.

Boo!

It's raining out! Doesn't anybody know that water kills dogs dead? My mom got me ready for my morning walk and I was all excited. But then we went through the back door, and it's wet outside? Who does she think she is taking me out in the rain? I did have to go potty, but I sure wasn't happy about it. I pottied and then ran for the door. Now I'm back inside where it's nice and dry and there are tons of toys to shove in people's knees. YAY!
