I don't know about you guys but I DO NOT LIKE THUNDER STORMS!!!!
And lately we are having them all the time. I use to be okay with them and then for some reason last year they started to bother me A WHOLE LOT. I get nervous and my usually wagging tale goes between my legs and I try really hard to squeeze into someplace small. A lady doesn't tell her weight, but suffice it to say I am not a teeny tiny dog. So I don't fit into small spaces. But I do manage to crawl under Mom's computer desk and I try to stay there until all that booming and banging stops. It's really scary! I don't mind it as much if we are all snuggled into bed with Mom. But if it isn't nap time or bed time I don't like it at all. Cody and Toby weren't afraid of thunderstorms but this year I talked Cody into being afraid too. He's what you call reactive. So it was easy to talk him into being afraid of something else. I just said "Hey, Cody don' you think you should be afraid of thunderstorms too since they are so loud and noisy and everything and you don't know where the noise is coming from, and you can't bark at it or bite it and make it stop?" And he said (the dope) "Yea, I guess you're right Maddie. I guess I'll be afraid of them too." So now Mom has to deal with both of us being afraid at the same time. Sorry Mom but it's hard to be scared alone.
