long time

It has been a very long time since we have been on here. Well, let me see if I can get everyone caught up. We have a new member to the family. Baby Makenzie arrived on May 3, 2010...a human baby seems to be a lot of work but I have adjusted well to a very small and fragile human around the house. When she is old enuff to crawl and get into my food we may have a problem though. Hopefully they will put her food beside mine and we can share...lol.......

On July 27th of this year we lost a member of our family. Schotzie went to be with her original owner and she has entered the other side of the rainbow bridge. It was rough for a few days without her. We are all trying to adjust to this day. Schotzie was a big part of this family and she was also the alpha dog. Now i have to do what AB tells me. It will be a very long time before I am the alpha. That is okay, I still get very spoiled and lots of attention being the 2nd on the totem pole.....

That is about it. My hips are still doing fine and haven't had to go to the doc for anything major. Just the normal allergy stuff. Allergies are really bad rite now.

You ready for the fair?? I can't wait. I am not sure if I am going to be allowed to go this year. After having a heat stroke and being in the hospital my doc is kind of worried about me being in the heat for more then 5 mins. I would really like to go but my health is more important.

Things are going great in a sense. I am still breathing and that is a plus. Think that all of my operations are over. I just want to be able to meet new dogs and play and be a puppy.

Well, enough of an update for today. I should be able to be on here more often. School has started up and that leaves a lot of free time on the computer.

When does it end?!!!!!!!!

Well, I thought I was done at the vet until I had my yearly check-ups!!! Didn't know how wrong I was. I was taken to the vet almost 2 weeks ago and I almost died. I had a heat stroke. Was left outside too long in this hot weather. Got to the doctor just in time. Had to stay overnite and get bags of fluids pumped into me. Now I am on meds and vitamins but it is all to keep me in working order. Hound dogs shouldn't have heat strokes.

Other then that I am pumped for the fair to get here. I want to enter the dog show again and get first place...Not being conceited or anything but I am a beautiful dog!!!! Lucky to be alive also. Not sure if my doctor will give me a clean bill of health to be out in the heat. I hope so, watch out ladies,,,Tuck-Tuck is in the house......

Bow-Wow

Woof, or should I say Howllllllllllllllllll!!!!!

Well, today has been another lazy day. Tearing up toys and playing with rawhides and eating num-nums!!! What more of a life can one ask for. Considering that my family rescued me from being put down. It is a wonderful life. I wish that everyone else would consider having their pets fixed so that there is not the problem of too many dogs or cats and not enough owners. Wishful thinking!! I just got lucky!!!

Nothing much more to say, going to go outside and howl at all the kids walking by....

Been a while!!!

Bark, Bark,,,, I am back. My mom should be able to keep up now. We have had a long few months. My human brother has had a few surgries as has myself. My mom has had a few also and boy is everyone feeling like crap. I still have one more surgery to go through and my mom wants it done before the Dog Show at the Cocke County Fair which is in August. So, she told me that I should be prepared for the surgery in May. I am doing so well now though. But I know that it is best for me in the long run. I have hip dysplasia and I have already had 3 surgries and I need the one on the right now. It will be okay though. I am a tough Hound Dog!!!

My human sister, Taryn, takes me for walks almost every day and boy do I love it. The new smells and the new ground!!!! Man there is nothing better then the trees and the grass and the woods. Wish I was out hunting.

I am basically a spoiled dog. I sleep with my mom during the week. Me and Schotzie and AB. When my dad is home on the weekends there just isn't enough room in the bed. We can solve that problem with a bigger bed though!!!! So, on the weekends I sleep with my human brother. He is cool but he likes to take up the whole dang bed. I make him move over and hug the wall. I am the king of that room!!! Woof!!!

I should be getting some new pictures on here soon. I have grown so much in the past few months. I am starting to get my adult face. Looking like a man.. and sexy!!!!

Well, fellow doggies and kitties, got to eat....Fresh food just got put down and have to beat Schotzie there or I won't get the good pieces. Woof out!!!!

Yet another surgery

Well everyone, I had yet another surgery... This one was called an FHO. They cut the ball joint off my left side and made some false packing to form as the ball joint. It was a little more painful then the other one. I am still recovering. I got the stitches out on Friday and I like that a lot better. I am starting to use the leg again. My owners are doing the right thing and at least I am alive.

Christmas time is coming on fast. I have my own stocking. I can't wait to see what Santa leaves for me. There are lots of presents under the tree right now and I like to sniff them and knock them around some times. That is fun.

We are starting to be one happy family. We have another human sister that lives with us now. Her name is Audrina and she is okay. She will come around. I know that she misses her mommy. That is a given.

During the day I like to sleep in my moms bed. Feels good on my legs. Tonight we are taking a bath and I get a water massage. I can't wait. The bath is huge and I will lay back and relax.

I had it rough!!!! But am living and surviving!!

Well, it has been a while since I have been on here. Woof, Woof everyone. Let me start by telling you that I have a shaved backside now. I look rather sexy. Bald is in!!!!

I had surgery on both my hips. They called it a toggle surgery and they tried to fix my hips. I have hip dysplasia. I am going to have to have a TMJ surgery now. The right hip took we think and they are going to put a rod in my hips and connect them that way.

I am not as active as I once was but I wasn't a hunting dog to begin with. I just get to be lazy and hang around. Right now I am in a kennel that my owners bought for me. I have to be carried outside to potty and put back in the kennel. I get lots of numnums though. Even though they have medicine in them. Guess that is okay though. They just want to keep me comfy.

Just beware

I just want some of you on dogster to beware. There is a few people from Newport Tennesse that say they are dog lovers but they actually are not. They are mean and abusive to the dogs that they have. They say that they "rescue" animals but they take them to their home and the other dogs they have, they let them bite and torment them. That is so mean. One of their dogs actually died because they left her out in the heat and returned home about 8 hours later and the poor little doggie had no water during one of the hottest days of the year.

I am not allowed around them anymore because the last time that I was there they abused me and exiled me from the other dogs because they are smaller then me. I was smacked and hit because they thought that I was the one that peed on the floor and pooped on the floor. Come on a weenier compared to a hound dog. I think that anyone would know the difference. That is okay. I am in a way better place and I am not subjected to abuse anymore. Buddie, Sassie and Suzie and Honey and Little Dude and Baby they are the ones that have to deal with the abuse and the messes that are always there. WE can't go over there anymore due to the fact of the disease on the ground that is going around and not being taken care of. Our mom and dad loves us very much and we are going to stay healthy.

sorry if this offends anyone but we need to get this information out. Sheri should not be allowed to have any animals cause they all die cause they beat them if they play with her kids and they do not have the animals get shots that they need.

Mom is home

Well, Mom is home today so we are all going to get baths. Can't wait. We have a really big tub and I love being in the water.

Right now I am tormenting Schotzie. She has a rawhide. Not the same if I have mine. I want theirs. They like to tease me though.

I cant wait till the holidays. Gonna love eating turkey and ham. Can't wait. We are going to have our own little holidays here. NOt going anywhere and not haveing anyone over. Maybe some of Moms friends and then our new cousin. Human cousin that is. Audrina is the only family we have here in Tennessee. All our others are in Kansas and a few other states. Just not here. But that is okay. We love Audrina and all is good.

Guess I better go and get ready for my bath. Got some good smell good shampoo from the vet and we are gonna get a grooming.

Hello again

Sorry all my pup pals. We have been busy and it has been hot. Well, I am about 7 months old now. Had my first adventure at the Cocke County Fair. I took first place..... I know that I am a good dog and I don't need a blue ribbon to prove that. My mom tells me everyday that I am loved and special. I love her so much. She still lets me sleep with her also. Even though I take up most of the bed.

I have been given a great bill of health and the doc says that I am going to be a great hunting dog. Don't know how that is cause I don't like loud noises. I like smells and stuff. WE finally got our other family memeber back. Took me a few days to get used to Peach. He was lost at Nevada in July and then found and they contacted my mom. She paid about $200 to get him home. He is a cat!!!! But, got to love him. He is so quiet that I don't know that he is here sometimes. We have gotten to be great friends. Had to get used to the "Cat" though. I'm a hound dog!!!! But peach is part of the family and my owner Taryn is glad that he is here, she has had him since 1999 and we thought that he was a gonner. I am happy that Taryn is happy.

Seems like summer has come and gone. Been really hot outside. Then the kids went back to school so I really have to learn to hold my stuff. I'm still a puppy though and a few accidents are expected. Since the vet told us that I am a little overweight my mom has been cracking down on the numnums. We dont get some every hour. WE normally get two or three a day. That is fine. She still wont give us weenies or bologna. That is good, she is watchign out for our health and we love her for that.

Guess that is enough barking for one day. We will make sure that we keep in touch with our pals and we hope that you are all in good health. The humans too.
