Well, I heard mom on the phone making an appointment for me. ME?!! For what? Where am I going? Do I need to dress up? Do I get to wear one of my new collars? Come to find out, she made an appointment for me to get an MRI of my neck/cervical spine. WHAT??!! Seems every since I got off the prednisone, I've been limping again. I had stopped while I was taking the prednisone, but once I stopped it, it was limp city again. Mom says I've definitely mastered this limping I've been doing since November. The ortho doctor called mom on Tuesday and said that would be the next step. She's supposed to drop me off between 7:30 and 8:30 Monday morning and will probably pick me up later on that afternoon unless they need to do surgery and then I could be there for several days. They've got to put me out, so I can't have any food after 10:00 Sunday. NO. FOOD??? OMD!! Whats that mom? Mom says to quit being so dramatic, that I'll be fine. Yeah mom, but I'll be fine, but I'll be starving to death. :(

Thanks so much Zaidie, Freckles, Monty, Bumble, Mable and Angel Wilma. I'm hoping something will show up somewhere (either on x-rays or on the MRI) so we can get this problem under control. Mom knows I'm uncomfortable (she compared my limp to her wearing shoes that hurt and you limp cause its so painful to wear them. it hurts but you've got nothing else to change in to.) and she is just at a loss (as are both vets) as to what the problem is that is causing this pain. The ortho vet said maybe a tumor would show up on the MRI or the extent of my cervical spine disc compressions (which is where the surgery would come in to remove or repair them). They should have some answers once they do this MRI. Paws crossed.

Angel Wilma, since you're the only one that can be there with me during the MRI, can you stay close by and hold my paw during the testing. I would appreciate it. Also, can you mention to God to have his hand guiding their exploration and that this can all be resolved. Thank you.

Doo's mom here...I decided not to do the MRI on Monday and decided to do accupuncture instead. We had an appointment today and she did both accupuncture and chiropractic alignment on Doo's neck/spine. The doctor said her spine was like 1/2 inch out of alignment, so she spent the majority of the alingment part getting that back in alignment like it should be. I asked if the mis-alignment could have been from the constant jumping in and out of the bed, and she that yes that is what caused it. She did very well throughout the whole hour of poking and prodding. We have an appointment for the next three weeks and by then the doctor will know if the accupuncture is working or if we will have to go the way of an MRI or a CAT scan as she suggested. She said a CAT scan can show everything just like an MRI and its less expensive.

After a few hours at home and resting, Doo was still limping so I called the doctor's office again to see if maybe she might could come again this week. They said the muscles need to be stretched out slowly which is why they only do it once a week. I told them I don't think I could stand to see her in pain and limping for the next week, so they prescribed a very strong anti-inflammatory to help with the discomfort. I made a special trip to go get the medicine and got it in her as fast as I could. Hopefully she'll be feeling better by morning. :)

I want to thank each of you for all the well wishes and POP for my girl. We can definitely tell its working. We'll keep you updated. We LOVE you all!

Thanks fur the update, Doo-mom. That will be great if the accupuncture and chiropractic work, even if it's just to make Doo feel better and stop limping until you decide whether to do more medical-type treatment. We're keeping the pawrayers going ovfur here!
