IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!
Doo's mom here.....January 16th 2012 1:07 pm[ Leave A Comment | 40 people already have ] Dropped Doo off at the vet this morning, she was limping REAL bad on her left front foot/leg. Had the right front x-rayed back in Nov, could it possibly have been the left one all along? Its so hard to tell...sometimes, she'll limp, then she'll act like nothing's wrong, this morning she was actually holding the foot up, she hadn't done that before. I pray to GOD that it isn't bone cancer like my 1st Weimaraner had with the same symptoms. I'm on pins and needles waiting for them to call me to come get her. Keep us in your prayers.

Pawlease get better soon! Sending POTP, hugs, prayers and everything we can think of!!!! OK, let's try this again...I wrote this when I got back from the vet, and for some reason it didn't post. (I tried using my name, I'll try using Doo's this time.) ============================================== =========== Update so far...the vet called me at 4:30 and hadn't taken the x-rays yet, but she did the exam and all the bending and manipulating of the leg and paw joints. She saw NO lameness whatsoever. She even wanted to make sure it was doo's left not my left when I was looking at her. (she said some people DO get confused.) When I went to pick DOO up at 5:45, the x-rays had been taken and there was NOTHING showing on the x-rays--anywhere! (BIG SIGH OF RELIEF OVER HERE!) The radiologist still has to read them first thing in the morning, but there was nothing showing on the x-rays for her to be concerned about cancer. When I got there, Doo came walking in like nothing was wrong (her eyes were a little red tho.) She got in the car just like normal. So depending on what the radiologist says tomorrow, its just a soft tissue sprain/strain that we can tell. I have some anti-inflammatory pills to give her and I'm to keep her off of my bed cause its so tall (waist high) and jumping in and out of it doesn't give her leg the rest it needs. (I'm going to have to block off the bedroom, because when she's sleepy, she'll go to bed without me, thus jumping in the bed.) Look out living room couch, here I come. Yaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!! What great news Doo!!!!!!!!! That makes us really happy my furiend! You are now band from your mommy's bed.HeHe Prayers fur healing on your leg sweetie! Hugs to you, austin and mommy! xoxoxoxo So glad you got good news! Yay! We are so glad you got good news! That's a great report, Doo!! Your mommy just needs to get you some steps or a ramp, and you can still use the big bed! Sigh...that is growlmy and me letting our breath out! OMD! That was scary. Glad that you got good reports. Lets hope the final one is equally wonderfur news...ie: no nasty disease. Glad you got good news! well good news that they didn't see anything, Im sure it's just a sprain and she will be just fine, Hugs to Doo!! Yea, good news. Take it easy fur a little while! That is great news, Doo! Just rest up for a while. Good New's Doo !! Love & Wag's, Walker What wonderful news that it's not serious Doo! We are so happy for you and Momma! Thank goodness you're OK, Doo! Take it easy. I didn't realize you were from San Antonio. I'm from Houston! XOXO Annie Good news Doo! Now, you listen to your mom and do exactly what she says. Member when I had my ACL surgery and had to stay crated for 12 whole weeks! You take it easy girlfuriend. Mom got the call from the vet about the radiologist's reading of my x-rays. Didn't see any problems in my leg, but did notice some compressing of some discs in my spine. Which could radiate down to my legs, making them lame like they've been. The vet said it can take up to 8-12 weeks for everything to get back to "normal". We had a slumber pawty last night with mom sleeping on the couch and me sleeping on a very fluffy down filled bed topper that mom hasn't been using. I slept great, except when mom was doing all that tossing and turning on the not so comfortable couch. BOL Mom's going to see if she can get me a ramp or some type of step for me to get in and out of the bed. She thinks I MIGHT use it getting into bed, but will forego it when I'm getting down from it. If only I were smaller, she could lift me up and down and we wouldn't be having this problem...but that's another story I guess. I agree with Sophie Claire and remember the long crate stay she had so please Doo, take things slow and easy so nothing bad happens. Would you sleep on that fluffy down filled bed topper if she put it on the floor next to her bed? A sling would help you get down off the bed and your Momma could hold the handles and help you go down the ramp slowly. |
