Dog Days of Summer

Not a lot new here. I am in my routine of doggy day care on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesdays I go to agility class. Thursdays I have my play date with the other dogs at Animal Outfitters. On the weekends the kids come over to swim with me. Mom entered my picture in a contest that the local newspaper is running to do a pet calendar. There are more than 300 pets entered so we shall see if I stay in the running. Bonnie is going to sleep over on Weds. night so that will be fun. Mom has been working a lot but I have Daddy to play with. Mom became friends with someone on Dogster that also has Eskies and has an Eskie website and she put my picture on it. We also became friends with someone who has a doggy bakery and they are going to send me cookies. YUM! I will share them with Bonnie. I was very hyper at the last agility class. I did things like running into the chute when Kaia was in it already and running up the A Frame before I was told to start and trying to get into everyone's treats. Mom said she is going to make sure I am more tired when I go next time. I had a lot of naps that day because it was raining. Well, I have to go do my lifeguard job. The kids are in the pool and I have to watch them.

I've been summer tagged by Buttercup

This is different than the last tag because I only have to name five facts about me (instead of seven) and tag five doggies. So here goes:
1. I am not a lap dog.
2. I go to day care two days a week.
3. In the summer my fur turns a light green from the chlorine in the pool (or perhaps from rolling in the grass when wet). We are not sure.
4. I learned a new trick this week. Daddy points his finger and says BANG and I fall down, roll over and play dead. They never get tired of that one.
5. I am training my pawrents to practically never put me in the crate.

I have been tagged by Virgie! My very nice friend from Australia. I have to name 7 pawsome facts about myself. I have to pick 7 other doggies and tag them by sending them a pmail or rosette announcing that they have been tagged and to read my diary. So here goes:

Baby Bunnies

There is a hole in my backyard with baby bunnies. Mommy won't let me pull them out and play with them! They look more fun than my toys even. My cousin Bonnie came over this weekend twice to play with me. She won't go in the water so she gets too hot and has to go in the house. We played tug with every toy I own. She kept taking my football and that is the toy that I wanted to play with. Then she took my crown and that was the next toy that I planned to play with. Bonnie has a boyfriend, Sunny Sunshine! Today if it is not raining, I plan to go swimming!

Have not written for awhile

Last night I went to agility class and this time I paid attention and I did a real good job. Last week I was more interested in what treats all the other dogs Moms had brought with them. The kids got out early from school because it is so hot and they came over and played with me. My cousin Bonnie slept over on the weekend so we got to play a lot and she got to watch me swim since she won't go near the water. She is sleeping over again on Saturday. PARTY! My mom talked to my human brother and he is going to bring Asta down on Thanksgiving and then there will be three dogs here counting me and Bonnie. I am going to be real sad when Daddy closes the pool. I do like running on the cover though. It makes a cool noise when Bonnie and I chase each other across it.

Wiggles & Giggles

Welcome Waggin' made me the manager of The Wiggles & Giggles. This is our soda shoppe/dance hall for the members to socialize in. Last night was its grand opening and also graduation. I graduated from being a mentee to being a mentor. I had the fun of catering the party. Georgie provided the music and it was a really great party. Lots of good friends there, both dogs and cats. I think we will have lots of fun there. Georgie and Jackson went to the Doggy Olympics during the day. That sounds like lots of fun. Running and chasing a lure. I would love that. I would get that lure too! Maybe next year Mommy will take me. Bonnie and I would love to go to the St. Louis Dog Park meet up, but Mommy is going to be on vacation and Aunt Tracy could not handle an excited Bonnie and an excited Bailey all by herself. If we went we could meet Georgie & Jackson, Mr. Duffy, Gilbert and a bunch of the other dogs that we know on Dogster. Bonnie and I will have lots of fun just playing together. Aunt Tracy will still have her hands full with just us.

Closed the pool

Today Mom & Dad and my human brother Steve put a big, green thing over the swimming pool. When they had it halfway on I realized what was going to happen, so I dove in. The water was way lower than it usually is, but I had my last swim for the year. Then I remembered the cover from last winter and how much fun it is to run on. It makes a real cool thumping sound when you run on it. I started running back and forth on the cover and if you hit the middle just right, you can make some water come up! My cousin Bonnie is going to be so happy. She loves to run on the cover, but she hates the swimming pool. We are going to be playing chase on that cover now. On Monday night I am going to go stay with Bonnie and Aunt Tracy for two weeks. My Mom & Dad are going on a vacation without me! I think that is unfair! I will make them feel guilty, but I really will have fun at Aunt Tracy's with Bonnie. She is my best friend.
