In life there are always changes. Some are for the better and some you do not want but they happen. We make new friends, we lose loved ones, we change jobs and places to live. Some of these changes you just cannot control and some are made by choice. 7 years ago I joined Dogster and my mom knew very little about posting on a website like this. We found it to be fun. We made new friends that became personal friends, not just internet acquaintances. We developed attachments and had fun playing little games and decorating my page and working on groups. We learned how to make pictures. We have spent a lot of time on Dogster/Catster and it has been a daily part of our life. We will miss it but hope there will be a change in the future to make up for this void. This is one of those changes that we can't control so we have to look forward.
This makes us very sad. We have made so many friends here.
We too have made many furiends here. We will miss you!
I will miss you Bailey!
Fritz the spitz!
Love and Hugssss
I will miss all of you too. I am not sure that this has really sunk in yet.
It's NOT over yet...for all we know this may be a ploy to get a fire lit under some of the pups and purrs who have been away from the site. It could be a Marketing strategy to get more interest going and it's working because I haven't seen this much action on this site in well over a year.
I know what you mean Bailey. Haven't been on lately, but there are so many friends like you that we will miss!!! You've done so much for everyone on PDPC and other groups. Mom is sick over this!!
Meeting such lovely, supportive friends on Dogster has been so much fun. All is not lost though. A number of my Dogster friends are also on Facebook with their dogs and cats. If we share our facebook IDs we can still stay in touch with one another. Just a thought...
Bailey, what a wonderful way to look at what has happened, sad as it is. Kira, mama is going to be on FB until something better comes along. She doesn't particularly like FB but at least she will be able to keep in touch with some of her pals. There is a group on FB "Dogster Buddies" where a lot of Dogsters hang out. Mama's ID on FB is Barbara Visentine.
I am trying to remain nice and upbeat since I learned Dogster etiquette meant that you did not say anything at all if you could not say something nice. I always tried to follow that rule here. That does not mean that I am not angry at a change that seems so inappropriate.
