I went back to the animal hospital for a surgery follow up to have a bile acid test rechecked and the Vet was very pleased with the results and said that it had improved alot! I still have to stay on senior adult dog food and a low protein diet. I won't need to have another bile acid test for one year unless I start having symptoms. So far I am feeling grrrrrrrrreat and am full of energy!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY PUP PALS!!! Luv & Licks, Mollie Mai

Last night my hu-brother and his family, and my hu-sister and her family, and their pups, and I all went to the mall and had a family picture made for my parents. It was sooooooooooo much fun and my parents said it was their favorite Christmas present. We do look pretty darn adorable!!! I go back to the hospital on Thursday, Jan. 3rd for another bile acid test to see how well my liver shunt surgery helped, so cross your paws and say your prayers that I get good news! Luv & Licks, Mollie Mai

Mollie Mai had liver shunt surgery and was spayed today and she is doing fine!!! We got to go back and see her in the ICU and she was resting and looked very peaceful. We talked to her and pet her head and she tried to get her eyes open but wasn't able to. She knew that we were there with her. I called to check on her and she is still doing well. They let her eat and she ate it all. We should be able to bring her home tomorrow. We want to thank all of her pals and their families for the prayers and well wishes for our precious baby, Mollie Mai. Archie & Pat

FAMILY REUNION!!!

Yesterday was sooooooooo pawsome!!! My furbrother Maximus spent the weekend at my house and we were very surprised when we saw who came over to see us! It was Tim & Judy (my first Hu-parents) and Zoey (my fursister) that they kept. It was so cool to see them again and I hope that we can do it again real soon! The three of us all look so different but you could tell that we have a special bond! We shared lots of stories about our lives with our new families and had lots of fun playing together. Zoey was a little shy and scared because she hasn't seen Max and I since we left to live with our new families, so next time we will go over to her house for a visit and she'll probably feel better.
Tim & Judy did the nicest thing for me!!! They gave my Hu-parents a check to help pay for my surgery!!! My Mommy & Daddy said that they really appreciated it and they are glad that I came from such a wonderful family!!! It's nice to know that they care so much about me too!!!
I better go for now, it's been such an exciting weekend that I'm feeling a little tired. Woof at ya later! Mollie Mai

I had my ultrasound done today and I do have a large liver shunt. The surgeon is going on a two week vacation, so mommy and daddy have two weeks to weigh the pros and cons of having it surgically repaired. I overheard them talking, and they said "I'm Worth It." Continue to keep me in your prayers that the surgery is successful and that I don't have any complications. It's okay to uncross your paws now! I'll let you know when to cross them again!!! I want to thank all of my pup pals for their prayers and well wishes. I have the best pup pals in the whole world!!! Love, Mollie Mai

PUP PAL PRAYER REQUEST

I wasn't feeling very good about one month ago, so mommy, daddy, my sister and her Boxer took me to the animal hospital. They did some tests and I had an elevated ALT (liver enzyme). It was 208, so they said it should be rechecked in a week. I went to my vet the next week and it was higher! This time it was 306 and the vet said she wants me to have an ultrasound to check for a liver shunt. The first appointment that they had was for this coming Friday. My mommy and daddy took me back to the vet last Saturday to get the Alt checked again and it came down to 132! HOORAY!!! But the vet still wants me to get the ultrasound done on Friday. So I would like all of my pals and their families to pray that the ultrasound is normal because if I do have a liver shunt, I will need to have surgery. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!! Mollie Mai

TERRIER TEMPER TANTRUM!!!

The other day I was having soooooooooo much fun chewing on my tennis ball/ dumbell toy. I managed to peel the outer layer off of one end of it and I had worked so hard to get it that way. This was the very first toy that mommy bought for me the day that she brought me home. When mommy saw what I had done to the toy, she picked it up and threw it into the trash!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! It took me over four months to finally peel away that tennis ball. I was soooooooooo mad!!! Mommy was standing at the sink washing dishes and suddenly she felt her socks getting warm and wet. She looked down and realized that she was standing in a puddle of pee!!! I really had to concentrate hard to get that one out because she had just taken me outside to go potty about 20 min. earlier. (that was no accident! hee! hee!) Bet mommy will think twice before she throws away one of my favorite toys again!
Woof! Woof! Mollie Mai
