NOT WHAT YOU THINK

Momma has been getting some heat about the pictures of me at the ocean."I thought you loved your dog, you let her go in the water and run around on the beach with no leash..." Folks who know our beaches here in Washington know that there is a lot of traffic down on the beach as well as the under currents that can take you out to sea! Well, Momma had a retractable leash on me...I don't go off of our 2 1/2 acres without being on a leash, including running around on the beach and playing in the water. She erased the leash so the picture looks better.She would NEVER let me go in the water without being attached to her. So now the secret is out and the heat should cool down...BOL

We stayed up late tonight to get the 2nd Bull's Eye game all set up to start tomorrow. We're having tons of fun with it and the pups & kittys seem to enjoy it. Furs with darts...only on Dogster! hehehehehe! Gotta love Dogster!

Well, the game is set and Momma's tired so Goodnight,and God bless and keep you all safe and sound. We are praying for all the pets and their humans back East!

Mom's Back

Mom's back doing the things she loves to do after getting sick and sleeping for like 4 days! Dad says it was stress, but who knows! The GOOD NEWS is Dad's doctor told him that he tore his meniscus, which happens a lot, but they're going to try physical therapy first. Mom and Dad are both very happy about that! Mom needs to have surgery on her hand, but wants to wait till we find out more about what they're going to do to help Grama. The bad news is Grama's cancer is not the slow growing kind, in fact she has 2 different kinds of cancer in her lung. She worked at a ski manufacturing plant and breathed in tons for chemicals years ago, but who knows why some people get cancer. It just stinks that they as well as their pets do get it! Now we just have to wait and see what all the doctors say is the best treatment. Waiting is NO FUN!

I think this is a job for me...Grama loves me and I think she needs a healthy dose of The Golden Doodle Dandi! I think we are going to have them out to dinner or maybe just drop in with me in tow. Us dogs and kitty's don't realize how much joy we bring to those that we love and I love my Grama! She always says what a good girl I am and that I'm the best dog she's ever seen, and she's seen a lot of good pups in her time!Grampa says the same thing...it kinda makes me blush, but I love it! Maybe Mom & I should bake up something yummy to take with us! Lemon Cup Cakes, yea that's what we need, Lemon Cuppy Cakes!

Well, Momma has a doctors appointment tomorrow so she said it's time to close up the computer and go to bed. Maybe I'll dream about those Lemon Cuppy Cakes, hhmmmm sweet dreams all my fur friends! Oh and sweet dreams to your humans too!

That Storm

Mom, Dad & I have been watching the news and that storm has us just like everyone else concerned. We have many Dogster friends and family friends that are living in harms way. We are praying for the safety of all who are dealing with that storm. We will probably have a lot of Dogster pups without power. When we had a really bad storm here last year we lost power and phone, even cell phones for days. Luckily we have a generator, but many don't. We'll just keep praying, that's all we can do for now.

My 2 games that I do for Pups N Purrs are going well, I really enjoy doing them. It's a great group!

Pam, Flicka's Mom helped me with my page, she has helped so many of us. I know for me it's been a life saver! She did my page months ago and then just here last week I wanted a change so she walked me through the steps and it worked. She's always telling Mom to breathe, I think Mom does hold her breath when somethings not working! Anyway it's great to be able to do my page now, I'm sure I'll get stuck again, but there's always some nice Pups Mom or Dad willing to help out. So to all of the helpers of the code THANK YOU!

What's Next?

Here it is the 4th day in a row, Mom can't sleep, she's hurting too bad. Dad hurt his knee last night so Mom took him to see his doctor. They said he'll probably need surgery. She taking him to get a MRI today! Poor Daddy, he's in a lot of pain, can't walk without a cane or Mom's help.

Mom found out today that none of Grama's doctors have even talked, let alone thought about what treatment she needs! Mom is very angry, she hates how some doctors treat older folks! Like there not important...well she's important to US! Mom's trying to get Grama to let her go to the appointments but Grama says no cause Mom's hurting so bad.

I cuddle with Mom a lot and that makes her feel better. This may sound silly, by I talk Wookie! Like the big, hairy guy in Star Wars. When I talk to Mom & Dad it always helps. It's my secret weapon...well it was a secret until just now :o)) Mom started her new game on Pup N Purrs and it seems to be going well. Good pups, purrs and people at Pups N Purrs. You should check it out! There are a lot of good groups at dogster. Mom has made friends with some, like Pam & Mer. They have both taught Mom so much. Without their teaching her she could never do what she's doing. We are very grateful for all the furs who have helped us...too many to count!

Mom loves to come up and work on her games and things on dogster. It gives her a break. There are so many kind furs here. Wish we could all get together and have a play date! Man, that would be fun. I could just see it...dogs of every breed, purebred or mutt, all playing together. HHMMMMM maybe the humans should take a lesson from us. I don't mean they should go sniffing someones bottom, but just the fact that animals seem to get along better than some people!

Mom's been going outside with me when the rain stops and we play ball. I LOVE balls, Mom calls me her big BALL HOG! We didn't get to go out today cause she was too busy :o( Maybe we can go play tomorrow!

Long Day

Well here it is 3:00am and Mom still hasn't went to bed, which mean I haven't gone to bed either! Lucky I don't mind sleeping in the office while she works on the computer. Mom's worried about Grama, she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Grama is worried too, not to mention Grampa. They've been married for over 55 years! Mom hopes to have that many and more years with Dad.

Mom & Dad's oldest Grand Daughter is 16 and she is going to live in Italy with one of her Mom's friends. That worries Mom & Dad too. She's just too young and will be on her own a lot. The woman she is going to live with is in the navy and works long hours. So Mom worries, man she wishes she got a vote sometimes, but she doesn't. So she worries. T.has been through way to much in her 16 years of life. It just feels like she's too young to be living that far from home. So Mom worries.

It's really good to have Dogster to go to. It gives Mom something to think about and look forward to. Not to mention the support some of the pups have given her. She's very grateful that people she's never met prays for us and gives us words of comfort!

Mom knows God is in control, but still, she worries. T's Mom,Kari,is
my Mom & Dad's oldest daughter and has been fighting an infection in her spleen for several months now and Mom worries.

Mom wants to fix everything for those she loves, but knows she can't and shouldn't even attempt to. God is in control, and Mom is grateful! It's not her burden to bear, God is in control and Mom is thankful. And because God is in control, Mom is hopeful. God is in control and she needs to rest in His peace, then, Mom's mind would be peaceful!

I guess the moral of the story is GOD IN IN CONTROL!

Tears

Mom just read the article

and she can't stop crying...all she can think about is "what if that was Dandi"

This poor dog died of heat stroke,and the airlines lied about several things that had happen. As much as Mom misses me when she flies to another part of the country, she would never have me go with her. That has always been the way it is. That's not to say everyone should feel like that...everyone has to make up their own minds and there is no right or wrong decision for everyone. We feel so sorry for Bea, all alone and dying, for her owner having to know that fact and for everyone who loved her.

Please Lord bring peace to Bea's Mom, help her to remember the good and let go of the bad. Please help the airlines to see that they have to do a better job.

It's time to go to bed Mom...I'm here and I love you, please don't be sad, dry your tears and lay your head down for some much needed rest. I am here!

New Laptop

Dad bought Mom a laptop and she' trying to get use to it. My paws are too big so Mom said it is totally off limits to me. At least she didn't use the old standby "you can't do it cause you don't have thumbs" Dumb thumbs!

Dad wanted her to have the laptop just in case she gets laid up in bed again. Bed rest...that's code for "drive the poor sick person crazy!" She was laid up for 2 months and she about went nutso! Daytime tv stinks and she watched all the movies she could stand but she had to keep her foot up so she couldn't sit at the desk... so no computer!

It's been boring for the past month. Mom has bronchitis and she can't breathe good enough to do much. I'm hoping this weekend will be nice and maybe we can go outside and I can play with my new ball.
It's a huge ball so playing with it is totally a outside game! Dad will be home so maybe we can get some play time together.

What A Night!

Wow Mom has been working trying to make things work on a thread for over 3 hours now and it still won't work. Dogster is in need of a good flea bath...too much time out playin in the sun and not enough time in the bath tub! BOL BOL!! She finally gave up and notice her friend Lucas is Dog of the Day! Yea you deserve it Lucas. Taking care of our Mom's is a full time job, may time and a half...hehehehe

It's been a while since we went to the beach but now that I know what I've been missing I want to go back again and again and again! Mom said we can't live there cause our beach is very gray and rainy and cold. She said her bones couldn't take it. But when it's nice it's beautiful.

Mom got sick on their cruise (that's what happens when they don't take me) but it didn't keep them from having fun. They even dressed up like pirates on pirate day. It was a Disney cruise that's why the whole pirate thing. You know that word pirate can be a little scary. Mom was trying to find pirate photos and made a spelling error and typed private photos...good grief, never seen Mom's face so red and her fingers pushing any key she could to get rid of what came on the screen. Dad laughed so hard he fell of his chair. Poor Mom, she may not be too bright but she trys hard so Dad & I will keep her, even if she can't type!

I'm Home!!

Well it's been awhile but we are finally home. Mom & Dad went on a Disney cruise for a week while I went and stayed with Grama & Grampa. I love them bunches and they are VERY GOOD to me but this time I just missed Mom and Dad terribly! I was so glad to see them that I spent 15-20 minutes just whining and sitting on them! Don't know why, but I just couldn't stop talking to them when they got home. I'm not a whiner but boy I sure did it up right. I had to stop cause Mom started feeling guilty for leaving me. There are just some places that I'm not allowed and a cruise is just one of them.

Mom was sick when she got home and it just got worse. She's coughing so hard sometimes it's hard to breathe. They got home Monday and she just kept getting worse. Today it was easier to breath so we're hoping she's done with the worse of it. She hasn't been able to get to the computer until tonight...she can't sleep. They met some really great folks on the cruise and they all exchanged emails so they can keep in touch. They had dinner each night together and they all love their dogs.

Well here comes the coughing so it's down with more cough syrup YUK!

Ocean! Yah

Well I finally made it to the ocean, and there was an added bonus...Tiffani got to go with us! I really liked going to the ocean. The hotel was extremely dog friendly. Everyone had to pet me, they even came out of the pool to pet me and ask Mom & Dad a bunch of questions. The lady at the front desk gave me a treat, but I only like Milk Bones, so I took it to be polite, but she noticed that I didn't eat it, so what does she do? She came the next day and said she bought some different kinds of treats...I ate them and she was happy. Everyone was so nice every where we went, I really hope we get to go back there.

Being in the water was cool, I was jumping waves and playing with Mom and T. Dad was the photographer this time cause he didn't want to get wet. He got some good shots. Before we left we went to this place where there are tons of stores, people and dogs! Some of the dogs were still in their cars and the NEVER STOPPED BARKING!!!! The dogs who where walking around were all nice, we sniffed, said hello and got a lot of hugs from the kids. All in all it was a great trip!

When we got home Mom took me in to see Sarah, my vet to check out my lump. It hadn't changed so I stayed there and she removed my lump and cleaned my teeth so I woke up with white teeth, minty breath and a hang over you wouldn't believe! When Mom and Dad came to pick me up I was still woozy so I just leaned on Mom, got into the car and came home. I slept most of the rest of the day. The lump was checked for cancer and all those dirty little bugaboos and everything was fine, just a bump that younger dog get and surgery to remove them takes care of it. Sarah said I was suppose to take it easy, no jumping, running...no fun at all. That didn't last very long but Mom still says STOP JUMPING AROUND! And I do,at least until she's not looking...hehehehehehe Poor Mom she tries but I feel fine and want to go back to having some fun.

Mom & Dad went to see a Mariners Base ball game for her birthday (she worked on the house on her b-day but Dad wanted her to do something fun) so she said she wanted to go to a ball game but during the day. So she picked one out...it ended up being the 1st time in Mariners history that the pitcher pitched a perfect game!! I guess this has only happened 23 times in all of baseball history, at least that's what we were told. Mom was hoarse for 3 days, she kinda croaked went she talked.

Well Mom hasn't been to bed yet tonight and she has some stuff she has to get done so she said it's time to wrap this entry up! So I guess this is The End! BOL BOL
