Now it's time to say goodbye....

It is with unbearable sorrow that we said goodbye to loving Kiki on May 23, 2009. Her kidneys failed, and treatment didn't work. Our veterinarian said she wasn't in pain, so we took her back home with us. Her "daddy" took the last 2 days of her life off of work so he could spend them with her. We were thankful for sunny, warm days, where the two of them laid on the lawn together, napping contentedly. Her passing was peaceful, but the hole it left in our hearts will take a LONG time to heal.

Good Dog, Kiki Dee. We love you.

My Daddy (and Mom, too), went shopping yesterday, and brought home a big ol' knuckle bone just for me, because I get to be Dog of the Week this week. How's that for great? I chewed and chewed on that bone, and only after ALL the meat and goodies were gone, did I share it with Rex, who doesn't mind that it's just an empty bone, now....

Can You Believe This?!!

I'm Dog of the Week!

That means I've joined the ranks of packmates Max and PJ as DotW here on Dogster--amazing! That doesn't even count the time that Merry was a daily diary pick, and Hope was a diary pick--twice! I am SO happy! Dad is SOOOO proud of me! Mom's happy for me, too :-). Thank you, Ms. Molly Golightly! You've made my week! DOGSTER RULES!

It's a Big Day...

Because this is my first diary entry, and I want it to be special. It's hard to type with my huge paws. It's hard to balance on a chair with wheels when you're big and slow-moving and afraid of falling off. It's hard to come up with _just_ the right words to say:

I love you, Dad (and Mom, too)!
