Valentine's Tag!

Here are the rules for this Valentine Tag:
Once you have been tagged, you choose five wishes for Valentine's Day and write them in a diary entry. Then choose five of your dogster/catster pals to tag. 1. I want to dance and twirl with China, my true, forever love! Then I will tell her I love her to the moon and back. Then I will give her a kiss! Then I will be in Heaven!

2. I wish Mr. D. , who is a lost cat, would come home.

3. I wish I didn't have to get my teeth cleaned.

4. I wish that my mom would take me on more walks to Central Park. Recently we've just been taking short walks around the block. How boring is that?

5. I wish that my Queen, Dutchess, was here, with her mom. Her mom misses her beyond words, and I sense why. Dutchess, I know you know I love you.

Diary of the Day

Dear Samantha, Yesterday, our diary was chosen as Diary of the Day. That was special, but I wish I could have let everyone who read it know that you are my precious guardian and inspiration. If I didn't have you in mind to write to, I wouldn't make any entries.

Mom's anxious to give me a good combing. I think I'd rather keep writing here!

Relieved

China is back from her vacation in the mountains, and I am relieved. I worried about the wild animals. I am sure her mom watched her every moment outside, but worry is an irrational thing. She told me that a friend of her mom had a little dog that was swooped up by a raptor and never seen again. Wow.

Now I can sleep.

Feeling Better

Hoss just sent me a beach ball and a cheerful note. I feel better. No one could have a truer buddy than Hoss. He reminded me that I mustn't be sad and feel wimpy because I am so small...I have a big heart and I love my friends. And I know that he misses Coco Puff alot, but he's not moping around (at least not in public!). Also, I remind myself, if I were any bigger, mom wouldn't take me everywhere in her tote bag. The other day was a first: she snuck me into Star Bucks! I go everywhere with mom--we take the bus, the subway, cabs, and, of course, walk (that is, she walks). OK. Time for bed.

Feeling lonely...

I'm down in the dumps today...My sweet darling China has left on vacation and is out of touch. Meanwhile, my best buddy Hoss is preparing to go on vacation soon. He is even helping to prepare the boat for their trip. The beautiful Sophie has a brand new brother, Khuno. And, she has a beautiful garden to explore and play in. It is dullsville extraordinaire around here. I didn't even get properly walked today. Mc Gregor is in a bad mood because Mama didn't buy him his favorite canned food (sorry to tell him that it has been recalled, hehe!). He won't play with me. The boy and the girl aren't here.

I think I'll go read some poetry...

Herald!: Sir Winston Joineth!!!!

I am all atwirl today as my as my best buddy, Winston, a Norfolk Terrier, has joined Dogster. We have known each other since puppyhood. I like to take walks with Winnie (as only I, never his mom, call him) but he is much more serioius about walking than I. Mom sometimes has to carry me to keep up with the atheletic Winston (and don't think for moment that I mind being carried!). Please check out his page, #549558, and give Winston a big welcome. "Black" Wednesday

Boy, have I had a rough day, and it is only 10:30 a.m.

Mom took me to the groomers, which I hate with a passion. At least it is a private affair--no one, and I mean no one, gets to see me wet except my groomer. I lose my dignity when I am wet. My eyes bulge out of my head and I look like a certain rodent which I won't specify. Mom picked me up right on time, swooped me up into her arms and told me that I am more handsome than DiCaprio and Depp (whoever they are) combined.

Then, just when I thought we were on our way home, she turns south, rather than north, and takes me to the Vet. I don't need to tell anyone how horrible that is. I was subjected to the whole kit and kaboodle--shots, blood work, and prodding of all the orifices known to dog. I weigh 4 lbs and 4 ounces (note: I've lost 2 whole ounes since my last appointment). Wow!

I'm finally home and enjoying a nice chewie. But I'm keeping clear of mom because who knows where else she might take me. What else awful is there? I don't want to know!

Antidote for a Sleepless Night

Last night I couldn't sleep. I tried reading and a glass of milk (cold, please!), but to no avail. Then I started thinking about many of my dogster pals. Some are singletons, others live in large families. Visions of my pals' photographs was so relaxing that I eventually found sleep.
