I had a pawsome time at my training class yesterday :D Mum actually really believes that since i've had my anal glands emptied i'm a changed pup! I'm more alert and not so depressed and yesterday during training i was great.

We missed a few weeks classes due to the weather and also because mum had got a little dis-heartened about my behaviour there. There was a couple of weeks i went where i would not ignore the other dogs and was going mad! She expected me to play up a little this week to be honest. We sat away from the other dogs and mum asked me to sit in front of her and "watch her", i sat there for nearly the 15 minutes we was waiting for classes to start, not taking my eyes off mum. I did not react once to any of the pups coming in and playing even when one dog escaped quite closely to me! So then i got bonus treats, when mum gives me about 4-5 treats in one go. A lady came over with her Border Terrier pup and complimented mum on how good i was...she stood and watched and even when mum explained i'm not keen on other dogs and that's why we were doing the work we were doing, she still said i was brilliant :)

Class was fantastic! I did all my commands perfect and then we had to stand in a line and weave all between the other dogs one at a time. I weaved lovely ( and VERY close ) to the other pups and then this dog ( can't remember his name BOL ) got too close and pawed me hard on the back!! But because mum had my focus, i didn't see him until i felt him and i got scared :( He was very heavy on my little back and i was minding my own buisness. BUT i didn't snap! There was another kind of reactive dog in our class this time, a SBT and his owner was actually crying in front of us all. Her dog was not all that bad to be honest..mum says i'm much worse. But she could so relate to how this poor girl felt, she's often nearly been in tears through me. Anita asked me to walk around again so we could show the girl how we work together...and how mum controls me.

The only time i snapped out is when an ememy of mine ( i've never liked this dog ) escaped from his lead from one of the other classes and ran through our class. Actually i didn't even snap out when he was running free, i snapped out at him when he was on lead and walking behind us BOL. Anita came over and said "What a little madam" she said the reason i snapped out was because i didn't like his "manners" and the fact he was invading MY space behind me. Mum gave a very loud Leave it and i stopped imediantly which is great progress!

Then to round off the class i had a go at my Agility which i enjoyed :D

Missy, full anul glands are responsible for all sorts of weird behaviour coz you are very uncomfortable and it makes you on edge;) Left they can even become inflamed and infected - so if you are unlucky enough to suffer with this problem (which i do too) it's best to have them checked and emptied regularly.

My what a huge improvement - well done - am soooo proud of you and your mum:D
