Arrival Story:
We saw a sign for rott puppies on the way home from town, that same afternoon I received a settlement I had been waiting a long time for. We immediately drove back to the sign, got the number and called! We cashed the check went to the house and saw the little black fuzzballs running around. I spotted the shy one who was sitting by himself. I went and picked him up, looked into his brown eyes and was in love. I took over to my hubby(who the puppy was supposed to be for) and said this is the one. He took one look at him and said ok!
Bio:
Cassius went through rough time when he was about 3. His hips became extremely stiff and he didn't want to go for his walks. We discovered an absess on his leg and took him to the vet. After many, many, many tests and visits from specialists, we finally found out that Cass has an auto-immune problem. His body was attacking the cartilage in his joints. He was on steroids for almost a year..can you say fattie! He has been fine since then though...no more problems except for stiffness now and then. He takes glucosamine daily and it really seems to help!
