How the Geordie Weordie Woo Got Its Name and Other Stories- Not By Rudyard KiplingAugust 5th 2009 8:11 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
When I (Geordie's Mom) was just a baby, my mother tried to teach me manners at the table. One day when I burped, she prompted me, "What do we say when we burp?" I thought for a second then threw my hands in the air and yelled, "Piggy Wiggy Woo!" My Mom said it was very difficult to keep a straight face around that kind of answer. In the years since, in my family, if someone burps, you say "Piggy Wiggy Woo" instead of "Excuse me".

Can a Dog Over-Wag?April 9th 2009 12:33 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Last night, my friend stopped by with her little boy. Geordie never settled down for the whole visit. He wagged very hard, very fast, plus he ran back and forth barking the whole time. By the time my friend was ready to leave, his normally erect tail was curved around his bottom...and it stayed that way. He never yelped, and I know no one pulled his tail. When he tried to sit down, he looked really uncomfortable. I touched his legs and his tail, and he didn't seem to have any injuries. So, I wondered, can a dog pull a tail muscle?
Happy Birthday to Me!April 6th 2009 10:20 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Geordie celebrated his 3rd birthday on Sunday! I found a "dog cake" at the store (by Canine Cuisine), and I mentioned to my Folks that I was going to give it to him for his birthday. They came to the party with candles and a camera. We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Geordie and got pics of him standing next to his cake. He was thrilled because he likes to be the center of attention, and he likes food. He got a new Loofah dog to play with, and he got to eat the whole cake by himself. He had a bit of a tummy ache that night, but he's all better today. In all, I think it was a winner of a birthday for a 3-year-old of any species!

Guess What We Found?February 6th 2009 4:11 pm[ Leave A Comment ] For the past week and a half, I haven't been able to drive anywhere because my truck has been stuck in ice. I'd like to go out tomorrow, though, so I took Geordie with me while I checked on the ice situation. When we got to the front of the truck, he start barking and yelling and making an unholy noise. I know what that means: he found a critter. So, I popped the hood, and what did we find inside? If you said 66 pine cones stuffed in my engine, you're right!!! I let Geordie walk around on the engine while I pulled them all out. I'm hoping his scent will deter the critter from coming back. And I thought it was bad when I found a dozen walnuts in there a couple of years ago!
Puppy's Potty MouthJanuary 24th 2009 9:48 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I don't have kids, so perhaps I don't watch my language as much as a parent would. Still, I didn't think I had a potty mouth until this incident.
Flowers for GeordieJanuary 23rd 2009 9:07 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Today a friend of mine made a dress with a picture of Geordie on it. I'm going to try to put a link in this diary entry. I don't know if you can do that or not, but I'm going to try!
Say "Hello" Gracie...I Mean GeordieJanuary 21st 2009 9:19 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
It wasn't that long ago that I discovered that Geordie could talk. He has managed to say quite a number of words, but now he will only say this one.
CostumesOctober 21st 2008 11:12 pm[ Leave A Comment ] For anyone stopping by, the Tuxedo Kilt and the Doggie Dorothy costumes are both something that I've designed and made. F.Y.I. In case you were wondering.
