Arrival Story:
I was looking at adoptable dogs on Petfinder.com and came across Kinko's photo. When I saw those eyes, I couldn't resist and applied to adopt him. On February 21, we went to get him at an Adoption Event and since then, he has been part of our family and we are delighted to have him. Kinko was very shy when we adopted him and was very nervous whenever we would pick him up. With time and patience, he became a total lovebug and a cuddler. He just loves to sit on mama's lap and beg for kisses.

Bio:
Kinko is a senior but is as playful and happy as a pup! He is smart and oh so handsome! That is why my daughter often calls him Fabio. It suits him so well.

My precious Kinko,

I was browsing on Petfinder.com and was looking for miniature Poodle and saw your cute face. Those big brown eyes, so full of love and kindness... My heart was touched and I applied to adopt you. I was counting the hours until your rescue mom would write back or contact me on the phone. I was so anxious to hear about you. The phone call finally came and your foster mom told me your name was Kink and you were about 10 years old. She wanted to make sure I knew about your heart murmur and your cataract. She told me also that you have been abandoned, probably because you were a senior. My answer was: "Who cares about the heart murmur and the cataract. Kink belongs with us."

I went to visit you at the Adopt-A-Pet day and your foster mom offered a 3-week trial period. That was out of the question for me. I knew that if you came to my home, it was forever and told her so. You have been with us since Feb. 21, 2007 and brought us cuddles and joy since then. You are mama's boy and you are the sweetest, cutest and smartest Poodle boy, ever. Mama loves you to pieces and you can be assured that this home is your home... forever!

We love you Kinko Boy.

I feel miserable! Humph!

I had surgery to remove the mass from my rib cage and it came out as fatty tissu. The dogtor told mom he had a hard time with it as the muscular tissues were entangled with the fatty tissu.

That's not all! He took all my teeth out except for 3 in the back! I can't chew anymore. He told mom my teeth should have been taken out when I was rescued. If mom knew, she said she would have had it done, cuz my teeth were painful. He put some thread in my mouth and it annoys me soooo much! I try to take it out of my mouth but mom won't let me do that. I tell her it bothers me to no end but she won't listen to me.

My body is wrapped in a large bandage so I won't scratch and now, she put the party hat on my head! Mooommm! Take this thing off, please! She told me she has to put it on my head as I am not a good boy and can't stop slapping my mouth with my paws to take that darn prickly thread out of there.

I heard mom talk to the dogtor and I hear him say I might have to have more stitches once my gums are healed to close the gaps. MORE THREAD! OH NO!!!


Surgery tomorrow

Mom told me I need to have that mass removed from my rib cage. The dogter told her I should have that removed as it is safer. Mom is a little worried as I am a senior gentleman and I have a slight heart murmur. I really don't want to have that surgery but I'll trust mom on it.

I am always so afraid of being abandoned again and not coming back home. Mom promised she would bring me back. My siblings told me she would too.
