Arrival Story: My Mom and I went to Temecula, California to work a Pet Fair promoting my website, My Special Dog. There were numerous rescue groups there and when Bentley (at the time named Coconut) came by us in a crate, my Mom knew she had to have him.
My Mom made a promise to herself that she would wait until the last day to see if anyone adopted him. No one did so he was going home with her.
The only problem was Southwest Airlines doesn't allow dogs on their planes and she had to get back to the bay area.
I volunteered to take him home and keep him until she could drive down and pick him up. Due to a family illness my Mom was not able to come get him and a week became a month, etc. etc.
By then we had fallen in love with the little guy and we weren't giving him up.
