Arrival Story:
A neighbor to a vet student in the same class as my best friend had an accidental littler before they could get their dog spayed. My friend sent me pictures of the puppies and I fell in love with a little black and blue merle one. We went out to see them and at 5 weeks old he came running up to me (as best he could) and played around my feet a bit and then ran off. He kept coming back to me and I fell madly in love. They told me to call next weekend to come out and get one of the pups. Unfortunately, one of the other vet students also wanted him but wasn't she really wanted a dog. I called a day earlier than I was supposed to (the same day as the Kentucky Derby) and told them I was coming to get him. They said that was fine and I got my Tucker. I may have stolen him from the other girl but I knew I had to have him and couldn't stand the thought of him having a home that wasn't sure if they wanted a dog at all.

Bio:
Tucker just started doing agility this winter and is an ace. I can't wait to see how far we get. He may also become a certified therapy dog soon if we can make it to the test this time. Everyone loves Tucker and he rarely meets anyone he doesn't like.

shhh I hyjacked the diary while Tucker's outside. This is momma. We are going to meet a possible new little sister tomorrow. I'm all nervous and excited. She's a blue merle aussie. I haven't told the fids yet and probably won't tell belle until we get home. Hopefully she likes this one. Wish us luck!

A puppy?

Mommy came home with the faint smell of puppies on her yesterday. Whats this all about? She changed her clothes and washed her hands but I could smell it still no her arm. It smelled like a hunting dog (Irish setter perhaps) but I know she doesn't think she's going to make an agility dog out of some silly hunting dog. Does she?

Class was awesome last night and momma said I did great. I was a bit of a dingle head at the beginnning but I could tell momma was geting frustrated so I started paying attention to her. There are only 4 other dogs in the class so we got to do lots of work. It was so much fun except momm awouldn't let me run through it fast. I had to go slow and listen to her it was sooo incredibly difficult but i did finally show her that I know what "easy" means and I slowed down everytime she said it. There was also the most adorable boxer girl in the cage next to the yard where we work. I heard momma ooo and ahh ove rher and Jan said she was up for adoption. I think I will try to convince momma to bring her home next time. I also heard them talking about the dogs in the other runs. Jan said they were tornado victims and didn't know where their owners were. Its so sad! There were so many of them and they looked so confused. I can't imagine losing my family to one of those things. ~shivers~ Better go clean up after snack time. we are having chips and cheese today. Yummy!
