I sure gave my mommy a scare over the last ten days! It was around the week of May 23 and I wasn't feeling too good. I wasn't eating my food, and my tummy started hurting pretty bad and I was tired all the time. My mommy got worried and took me to the doctor. The said I had worms in my tummy, they said it was called coccidia, and that I was born with them. They gave my mommy all kinds of medicine and this special food to eat, 'cuz I was getting a little skinny. But the medicine didn't work. That's when my mommy got REALLY worried. She had to take me to the hospital. I was as scared as she was, but the people there were so nice to me. I became pretty popular. They even kept calling me "handsome." They had to put a needle in my little paw and I had to have an IV of fluids and antibiotics ~ for THREE WHOLE DAYS. All I did was sleep and poop. BUT I quit throwing up, which the doctor was happy about. Finally, I was doing good, so the doctor said mommy could take me home. I was happy about that. I still had to take that yucky medicine though. I've started eating again, and I think I've even gained a bit of weight back. Mommy says I am much more playful now! And I'm back to giving her lots and lots of kisses! I'm almost done with my medicine and I can't wait to go see the doctor again on Saturday and show him how much better I feel now!!!
