Jaxer, Jaxie Dog, Little One, Big Guy, Jiggers

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

July 2nd 2002

Having all his people corralled in the same place, cookies, tummy rubs, and exercising the neighborhood squirrels and bunnies

Rain because it means having to wiped down after every trip outside, not getting his cookie promptly after finishing his meal, and getting his toenails trimmed

Favorite Toy:
His hedgies - he has several soft squeekie s, but the hedgies rule. Once he gets outside, he's a frisbee catching maniac!

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:
The park at the high school, the dog park, and the farmer's market

Best Tricks:
The agility toys and conning more cookies out of his friend next door

Arrival Story:
Jax was a show dog with a breeder down in Kansas when I spotted him on the internet. We drove down to get him, but nearly left him there because while we were there, he marked the furniture twice, shed profuse amounts of hair, and would not come to us at all. The kennel we brought to take him home in was too small, and while we were out getting a bigger one, I said to Dad that Jax would not be a good choice and that we should just go home. But Dad talked me into it, saying Jax needed a home and he's been a wonderful little pup ever since. He entertains us with something new each day. He's a typical corgi clown.

Jax is a tremendous companion for our family and is constantly watching out for us. He loves to go places with us and is a good little car dog. He's a pretty sensitive guy too, and seems to know when you're under the weather. We dabble in agility but because he has a crooked front leg I'm concerned for his safety. The tunnel, the dog walk and the table are his favorites. Jaxer has a favorite neighbor , Gerda, who also adores him and takes care of him when we can't.

Ahhhh It's Spring!!!

Spring! The time when a cooped-up corgi 's thoughts run wild! The bunnies are back, the squirrels are chattering, and I can go for walkies again. Just the other day I tried to herd some birds, but they'd have none of it - not very sporting of them, I'd say.

I can be outside helping Dad, keeping him on task. Those two-leggers can be easily distracted. Never distracted enough to wander over to my cookie jar though....

Speaking of distractions, have I told you all about my new cousin Farley? He's a pembroke puppy and lives the high life out in California, complete with a personal trainer! From what I've hear though, he has a bit of appetite for photo albums and furniture. That's understandable though, as he has no one like myself to guide him as he grows. He's a cutie though, who likes to FRAP and ride in the car.

But back to my spring musings. With Spring comes the rain, and with the rain comes my towel. I've seen more than my share of the towel! Plus she uses the furminator on me so it's a wonder I have any fur left! And agility...Sue needs to set my weavies and tunnel up so I can practice. This is really just a ploy to get treats, but Sue hasn't figured that out yet.

Well, time to head back on out to check on progess! Have a great day!

Hey Dogsters, ya should have seen me ! Last Saturday I made my first public showing in the agility spotlight. It was just a demo thing and they didn't even have my best obstacles there, but I was terrific. I jumped, I tunneled, I teetered and tottered, and then I even did the weavies! The crowds cheered -- I was a hero. Not only did I do all theose obstacles, but I even got Sue to run around the course with me! No easy task there.....
