My new accomplishment

Well, our hard work has paid off. Mom and I have attended obedience classes since April. We have had a lot of fun. And last week I passed my CGC test! Hopefully this is only my first accomplishment of many.

My new brother

My mom and dad did a lot of reading about different breeds of dogs last spring. Mom decided she wanted to show (I can't be shown because I've been spayed) and Dad decided that he wants to hunt. That's OK, because I like to be inside anyway :)
Well, my mom and dad chose the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever as their new Furkid and promptly contacted a breeder in Calgary, Alberta. Her name is Lisa and her kennel is called Tollwest. She has beautiful dogs and the whole family has been excited about getting the little guy.
Laser was the pick male from the litter and he was supposed to come home around mid-August. Well, he got sick with kennel cough, then he got parvo. We weren't sure if he was ever going to come. Then we got word that he would be sent last Friday. We were very eager.
Thursday night my Mom got a message from Lisa that Laser's bite was a little off, so now he may not be a show prospect! Mom wanted him sent anyway despite this, but Dad said to "be patient" and wait. Lisa said she would be evaluating another litter who turn 8 weeks old today. She gets pick male from that litter. They're located at Tollchester Kennels in British Columbia. This woman, Simone has beautiful dogs too, so the family is pleased either way.
I am so excited to be getting a playmate I can hardly stand it! I try to play with my cat brother and sister, but they don't like to play with me. Wilma sometimes chases me around the house, but I really don't think she's playing.
