Birthday

It's my Birthday!! I went running with the trycycle about 3 miles then I met Olive at the playground. We played ball then I ran home and now I am resting! Later I am going to have the last Frosty Paws Ice cream treat! I met a puppy yesterday at the park, I might like him, he has more energy than Olive, but then again I can get more of the balls when I play with Olive. I'm faster!! The puppy might be more than I want to deal with. We will see.

I successfully played with another Dog to day!!

I successfully played with another dog today! There was a little postering going on but no blood lost, not even a bite! My Mom was soooooo happy. She said that I have NO social skills, I think I'm just misunderstood! My Aunty Pam sometimes dog sits a big black Lab. named Olive, today we met Olive and Pam at a school yard and played. I ran to the school yard then ran home, my Mom was on the tricycle. Maybe if I calm down a little I can have more dog friends, I think for now I will stick with Olive, see how things go. Then maybe I could get together with Chaz. I'm a happy dog this week, my Uncle came back home, he has been sick, now he is back home. He feeds me carrots! I am glad he is home!!

A year in my new forever home!

I arrived here on 21 January 2006, from Phoneix Az. I was a very over weight girl with a prety face, I think that is why my Name was Fancy, you know Fancy Face. Anyway, the trip to Yuma was a nice one, I was in a large crate, I like crates!! I could see everything on the road. We got to my new home after dark, so I could not see much of it. The next day I did not feel like eating much, so why am I fat again?? I had blood in my poop to! I think I was just nervous, but you could not tell by looking at me! I kept it to myself! My new Mom and her Mom had driven to Phoenix to get me, so I just needed to meet my Uncle, David, I think he was scared of me at first, so I barked at him when he left the house.
Over the last year, I have lost over 16 pounds!!!!! That is another Dog!! Oh and my Mom really did not fancy my name of Fancy, she calls me Kehleyr, that's pronounced K-lar. It is from Star Trek, TNG. Grandma and my Uncle like Fancy, so that is how I got a hyphenated name. Cool, don't you think. I'll answer to almost anything, I don't care, just don't call me late to dinner!!
It's been a good year, I lost 16 pounds, I'm learning discipline, good manners, and patients, that is a hard one for me! Just my luck, my new Mom was a Marine Corps Drill Instructor!! It's prety good though, I'm learning that if I'm calm, I can get prety much what I want, and what I want more than anything is to be able to run on the road, pulling my Mom on the Tricycle! I pull to hard to be attached to a Bike, so we got the Tricycle, and it works great. A tired Dog is a Happy Dog!! I have been as far as 7 miles at one time, but we usually go between 3-6 miles, depending on how hot it is, this is Yuma, after all!!
