USA Best Tricks: Standing on her two front legs and balancing so she can mark the trees higher than the other puppies. Arrival Story: She was a stray we had seen before in our neighborhood; then one day while walking our other dogs we saw her again. We tried to catch her to find her home, but she wouldn't let us near her. She ended up following us and walked into the back yard. She was in terrible shape. She had obviously been out on her own for awhile. She was very shy and unassuming. Over time as we nursed her back to health, her happy personality came out. Bio: When Tabby came to us she had a broken spirit. She was 20 lbs underweight, her fur was matted and full of burrs and she carried her tail, uncharacteristcally down. When we took her to the vet she didn't know how to get in the car. Over time the most wonderful personality has blossomed. She is the most adventurous, curious dog. Her eyes sparkle with delight when we are going on an adventure and she twinkles her tail, which she now holds proudly. She loves life and reminds us to do the same. She is also a very caring, sweet girl. She always looked out for and checked on Pretzel our 18 year old dachshund we lost in October 2006. We are so lucky to have her in our family. So we have been missing our Angel Cookie so much since she went over the Rainbow bridge in November my mom finally decided it was time to rescue and adopt another pup. I will have a new brother this week. I will now be the big sister. Hope all my pals will be pals with him too. Watch for his page in the coming week!
Finally back home. I don't like the vet. I had to spend all day there. I knew something was up when I couldn't eat breakfast and I know my sisters did. When mom picked me up I didn't even look at her I just ran to the car. Good news is the xrays came back looking okay. They now want me to have an ultrasound to check my heart. But I still feel good and have lots of energy. Still run full speed at the beach, so I am going to continue to enjoy my life to the fullest and hopefully can stay away from the vet!
