Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
| -mutt | -pound dog | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: January 1st 2006
Likes: To explore, run, play, be petted, and escape from crates and fenced yards!

Pet-Peeves: When her brother, Kierke, wants her bone.

Favorite Toy: Rawhide bone. Frisbee, although she really hasn't quite figured it out. Kierke's ears.

Favorite Food: Fromm's Duck & Sweet Potato dried food and beef canned food. Yummy chummies, CHEESE.

Favorite Walk: Anyplace to explore, especially where are nooks and crannies to nose into.

Best Tricks: Jumping over her brother, balancing on her hind legs, sneaking around Kierke's rawhide bone and stealing it. Making Kierke runinto stuff when he chasing her.

Arrival Story: Kierke wanted a playmate, dad wanted another girl dog, mom wanted a cuddle muffin, and we all wanted to save a dog from the pound. Mom went on reconnaissance at the shelter and came home with the sweetest little girl pup ever!

Bio: She is shy, anxious, and yet very sweet. Her agility is imcomparable. She's more Pharaoh Hound than Husky with all the sweetness and loyalty of nature that that breed exemplifies. She is also very much a sight hound and shows natural hunting tendencies. She likes to stick close to us and without being trained to do so, waits for us to go in the door first! She likes to be petted and wants to sit close to her humans. She is naturally joyous and loves to frolick. She also likes to explore and should not be loose. She is innocent of the dangers of being out of the yard on her own and should ALWAYS be on a leash if she is not in the yard or house. She is a very wonderful companion, but she needs to be watched because she does have the husky curiosity and independent streak! And, we've recently discovered that she must be part kangaroo--she can stand on her hind legs for several seconds while her paws are neatly folded down in front of her!

Breed Mix: The vet agreed with mom that she is part husky and part Pharaoh Hound, which is why she is tall, has big ears, amber eyes, and the white markings.

I'm almost six years old and have managed to stay at this home for five years! My mom and dad never gave up on me even when I was so anxious I ate walls. I don't do that anymore. It took over a year, but I got better. People with new pets, please take heed! Love works miracles!
This last year I got an injury when K and I were playing. My skin got ripped and I had to have stitches! I had a big cone on my head and I hated it so much that I tore up my crate again. Dad was really mad, but he understood, too. He said he wouldn't want one of those things on his head either. I LOVE dad so much! I love mom too, but she was the one that took me to the vet, you know. So anyway, we finally worked it out and I got my stitches out and there isn't even a scar so it's all good. K got really freaked out when mom left him here and I got to go in the car..hahahahha!
Well, mom doesn't get on here much anymore, but really, her job is petting me anyway. I lie down beside her every minute I can just to make it easier for her! And dad too. Well, have a wonderful year everyone! Love, Leda.

AND--I'm five today! It's been a great year of chasing birds in the yard, chasing my brother Kierke in the yard, and chasing my mom in the yard! DOG-tastic! I am taller and heavier than in my picture, but I'm still very sweet mom says. And dad says I'm just as sneaky but also just as loving and loyal! Kierke says--well, never mind.
We, K and I, had an adventure last summer. Dad forgot to close the gate and mom didn't know it was open, so we made a break for it! We ran through the neighborhood, crossed the highway, and ran up the hill, into the brush, and circled around for 4 hours! Finally we got tired, K was REALLY tired, and started for home. Halfway down that big, big hill, a couple of ladies saw us walking in the middle of the road and stopped to give us a ride! They looked at our tags and called mom on her cell while she was out driving around looking for us. She called dad, who was in HIS car trying to find us. They were totally where we'd ALREADY been! They were happy to see us and thanked the ladies. Don't see what all the fuss was about...K says he isn't going that far again. Mom says NO way, NEVER again! K took a long, long nap...Anyway, we saw all kinds of stuff and loved being outside that FENCE. Mom says we're going for a walk today because it has warmed up a little, but it will be on the leash. Rats! BUT- I will get a few treats! Yay!
So that's the news. Happy New Year! Love, Leda

Wow, I LOVE the presents! Thank you all my good friends. I've been doing ok, although I had a relapse in my anxiety problem. I'm better but you know, when mom leaves, I freak. How will I know she'll find her way back? But then, she remembers our treats and stuff. Anyway, having you guys out there to cheer me up is great. Right now we've got a lot of snow, although today is sunny. I guess we're going into spring. I can't wait to be outside all the time! Anyway, hope all of you have a great spring too. Love, Leda
