I only went to the shelter to get a license for one of my other dogs. I had lost 2 dogs the week before and had no intention of adding a new fur member to my family. Ricochet was in the lobby when I entered. His family was surrendering him pretty much for all the reason an untrained Parson Russell would be surrendered- he stole things, he went to the bathroom in the house, he growled, he bit. But there was something about him. Something that made me decide to add this little 5 month old terriorist to my family. And I have never regretted it!
Ricochet is training to compete in obedience, canine freestyle, tracking, rally-o and agility.

Okay, so it is an ambitious title for my diary, but I thought it would be neat to post the trials and troubles we have training for different dog sports. I love training and am willing to learn anything, but sometimes I like to try and out think my mom. Luckily, she has a good sense of humor about it!
Our start together wasn't an easy one. I came from the shelter with a lot of behavior problems, but thanks to mom, I am a much better behaved boy today. So no matter where the future takes us, we have already won!
